Canyonlands wandering

This is a little weird to have internet access from one of the most remote spots in the USA. It took us several hours to get out to the dollhouse including some classic moab 4 wheeling. The trail out to the Dollhouse is much more serious than I expected.

Also cool that we had a radio contact with some of the Rising Sun guys and girls. We are out in the Maze district of Canyonlands NP and they were up on Porcupine Rim outside of Moab. We had clear contact on low power simplex. Very cool for you radio heads.

Yep (David) has promised more shots later.

Now imagine it in a 44 year old rig with open diffs and NO REAR SHOCKS! I think it took me almost 5 hours from the dollhouse turnoff to camp, pacing the 45 to keep the recoil to a minimum.

Look forward to sharing a martini in camp and sharing more stories Andy.

Pretty cool

I've spent a fair amount of time in Moab, but I've never been to this area, it looks fantastic. Maybe next year in the 70! Thanks for the pix.

Andy - I knew there was a reason I hated you!

Keep the pics coming. At least those of us stuck in offices can live vicariously through your wonderful pictures.

Great pictures! I can't wait to get the truck to moab...maybe next year? I've done all the trails with the MTB, but not since I've had a decent truck.

D'Animal,

The Maze trip started in Hanksville, UT 6 days ago. They arrived in Moab Wednesday and now part of Cruise Moab. So he is probably too busy having fun to post but I am sure he will give a trip report and hopefully more photos when he gets home. He is leaving Moab Saturday (tomorrow).

And, on an HT using a quarter-watt, and an 8" rubber-ducky antenna, nonetheless! Pretty cool!
