2008 "Pigrun" 8/30 thru 9/1

After much spirited debate on Pirate...

WestCoast Pigrun '08 - Pirate4x4.Com Bulletin Board

We got the details hammered out and carved in stone...

Labor Day weekend. Deer Valley.

Coincidentally, the exact same time and place as the 45 run.
So, we need absolutely EVERY Pig within hollering distance to attend. We need the Oregon Pigs, we need the Utah Pigs. We need the So-cal Pigs. We need the Bay area Pigs. We need to have more Pigs there than 45s. And set the bar for the most Pigs ever on a Nor-Cal Pigrun. We need the noobs and the old farts.
So get 'er running, get the time off, Prepare to get it on.
And do bring something excellent for the raffle...

Of course you can get a 60 in there...there will be plenty of 55s and 45s to tug you out of the hard spots. Bone-stock Pigs go thru there, you should have no problem.
Just be glad you're not driving an 80.

That is correct, I forgot to make that distinction.

Is anyone planning to bring any beer or anything?

If I can, I would like to take Friday off and get up there Thursday night. Depends on what is going on at work.

How about you?

I will try to bring the 45 to the pig run.

I can't wait to see a pig in the mud pit.

Goin' on a PIG RUN
I'm not afraid
It's a beautiful day
The sun is shining
The birds are singing
The bees are buzzing

What's that?
In theTall grass

(Sweeping arm motions making swishing sounds)
Going on a PIG RUN
I'm not afraid

What's that?
It's in the tall trees

(Arm motion climbing up then climbing back down )
Going on a PIG RUN
I'm not afraid

What's that?
Ohh, it's mud pit

(March through the mud making sloshing mud sounds )
Going on a PIG RUN
I'm not afraid

What's that?
It's a river
We're going to have to cross

(Swim the river)
Going on a PIG RUN
I'm not afraid

What's that?
Ohh it's on some rocks

(Make gestures and sounds)
I can't see anything
I can feel something
I can hear something
oh my drive shaft is loose

(Take out flashlight and flick it on)
Oh it's a PIG
RUN!

(Repeat the sequence in reverse quickly and dramatically,
slapping thighs and doing all the actions for each verse.)

:c lap:
COME ON! EVERYBODY THIS TIME

The Mudpit is the favorite recreation spot of Pigs. The Pigs enjoy the Mud so much that it is often difficult to get them to come out...especially if it is a particularly nice, deep Mudpit.

That is one happy as a Pig in Mud Pig. You can see how hard it is to coax a Pig out of a Mud waller once it's settled in...
