offroad trip April 06, 2008

Sunday April 06, 2008.
we set out to cross a trail from an area called Shabrouh, in the mountains of lebanon, some 2000 meters above sea level.

the trail went up the mountain, up to 2400 meters and then back down down to the Kartaba river, through swamps, rocky roads, some leftover snow and mud. lots of it.

i will try to attach as much pictures as i can since my subscription has ended and it's a hassle for me to subscribe again since Lebanon is not on the paypal list.

enjoy

Nice! It looks like a variety of trucks there.
How did you do with those all-terrains on?
Thanks for the pics.

my all terrains work just fine on almost every surface, bit of trouble on fresh snow, usually taking the air out of the tires helps out alot.

i take them down to 10 psi. i was the only truck with stock differentials, no ARB's, not so special tires, smallest engine 2F 2.6 liters, and was able to go to the same places like all the trucks.

im so proud of my FJ. next, i feel like installing a snorkel, a winch and fog lights (depends on the cash flow).

i really have to thank you guys for the help and amazing info i've been getting from u at IH8MUD.

Hi All:

Great photos - thanks for sharing with us!

Your 4X4 club has quite the variety of rigs! K5 Blazer, Samurai, Range Rover, Wrangler, and Land Cruiser! Is one a Prado (90 Series)?

Ah, you must not have found very deep mud, running those tires!

Oh, and BTW, the 2F is a 4.2L engine! I can't imagine a 2.6L in a 40 Series!

Regards,

Alan
