Come on ! Colorado in September(any month really) is as good as it gets. Wheeling, fly fishing, Aspen leaves turning, TEQUILA........what more could one ask for ? Oh, and a place to hang out.

Hey Woody, if you need a place to stop over and crash on you're way back to Texas you're always welcome.

LOL! Last year Christo Slee graces SnT and this year Woody. Wow! Ken Hanna gets honorable mention, but he only lives about 20 minutes away!

You have to put up with me again this year. Planning to arrive earlier this year. Need to know what the RV park name is that is closest.

rv park pismo beach - Google Maps

Take your choice. There are quite a few pretty much right on the beach.

For what its worth my family stayed at the Pismo Coast Village RV resort when they came to visit me last year. Nice place with a pool, wifi and beach access.

You scared to bring that big rig down the beach? If I can get my hauler 1/4 mile into the dunes you can get that RV of yours right into camp and back out..........

Plus it will be a good conversation............
Plan for a hour or so after low tide and its like a freeway down the beach.
If not camp at the Pismo Beach State Park RV Park. Bout a 2 mile drive off the beach.

Sure, that thing will drive on the sand like nothing. I can already see you guys laughing your butts off when I get it stuck, or break an axle (based on my reputation). I think I will leave it on the pavement and just drive down to the festivities.

My first year I came in with 10,000lbs of Toyhauler and Kowboy and crew tugged me through camp and out into the dunes while everyone cheered, then left early on Sunday.............with me still out in the dunes. So I learned that 10lbs tire pressure makes a huge difference. FWIW I know that everyone will get you set up just fine on the beach if you want too. I know folks that take diesel pushers in there all summer, last year I was closer to the water and didnt have any traction issues. Just know the tides and have Jim place you in the right spot. Gonna bring Beluga?

I go in with about 14-15K with 150 gallons of water and FJ-40 in hauler, if the tide is on the way out, the beach is packed and like a 10 lane highway, last year I aired down to 15lbs on the way in, made it to the SNT site, pulled out the 40 and backed my hauler up above the highest water point without ever loosing traction or digging in. Leaving I pulled out to the beach (maybe 100 feet) without the 40 and loaded it up and headed out. Got stuck at the beach ramp cause I was in 2wd....
There is always someone to help you at SNT, its not like the cruiser karma will not be present. Beach camping at SNT makes the whole event IMO

Brian, you should have no issues, the lower the tire pressure in the sand the better

He surely cannot brake a distributor off a diesel in that short of run.

I think the motorhome is a little more than 10k, plus I do not know how low you can air those down. As for Beluga, she is sold so right now I am not sure what I am bringing. Trying to figure that one out.
