update on my 80, since Dan and Amanda are driving it out for the event...

IPOR dual battery kit installed, with a Red Top Optima

INTI 3/4 roof rack installed

Urban Land Cruisers 80-series battery cable kit installed

...."should" be all set for the 3000 road/trail miles!

Looks Like Amanda and I will be stopping off at Slee either on the way out or back. Anyone coming from around Golden? Christo said he would like to join us but has to hold down the fort due to a new addition to his technicians family and other staff at SEMA.

TCAO and I are caravaning up from SoCal, leaving here just before noon on Sunday, overnighting in St. George, UT and we should be in Grand Jct. shortly after noon - or so.

Grand Junction Expedition - Land Rover guys?

On behalf of the very few of us Land Rover guys that are able to crash this incredible Toyota event, Thank You for letting us come along! We are hitting the road from Minneapolis tomorrow to arrive in Grand Junction Sunday, and look forward to meeting everyone (and seeing Garrett again, whom some of us have met under questionable circumstances... more details to come...)

This trip is going to be unforgettable - nice work, East Coast Trail Team on putting it together!

See you guys soon!

Keep you eyes peeled for a black/champagne colored 80 series hauling an olive/black Horizon trailer. That'd be me and Phil wandering around CO before we meet up Tuesday morning.

nocho, Rovers are always welcome in my book. I'm glad this event won't be strictly Toyota.

I just got back from Europe. I had a great trip, but I am so jealous of you guys/gals. Hindsight being 20/20 I'm not sure which I would have done. I don't need to tell you to have a great time. Stay warm and be safe.
Thanks for the updates/pics I needed a lil more salt in these wounds ;^ )

Make sure that guy in the V-8 FJ60 keeps it in 4wd. And ask him how many spare axle studs he's carrying!

Did you notice that the top of his tent looks like the hood of his truck. Interesting story there.

I'm glad I went last month.
