| IH8TREES.COM or my week at Flat Nasty
Tim Nakari and I drove the 14 hours from Denver to go to the first annual Flat Nasty run for the TLCA. It was a blast and we had a great time. Although some of the green trails were a little too tight for the wagons.
We ran 3 green trails
2 yellow trails (Need sliders)
1 Black trail
The two yellow trails were the most fun, time was spent climbing over rocks and not having to avoid tree's
I should have skipped the Black trail. The first obstacle was just rock, but then you are at a steep incline with very loose soil/rock that provided no traction. In Colorado it would not have been a problem, but with the loose soil, we ended up having to winch a bit and still hit a tree in some really soft dirt between two TIGHT trees.
So, I ended up kissing 3 different tree's and plan on starting a web site called IH8TREES.com.
Had a great time hooking up with Robbie, woody, Tarbe, Buckaroo, MOJ, Degnol, LandSchmoosier, Hulk and others I am sure I have forgotten to mention
Not to mention the Tornado Alley boys, Alan, Eric, Mike, Rob and everyone else.
If you need someone to run a raffle, Kowboy is most excellent at that.
Here is a video I put together between Nakmans and my media stuff.
I would recommend the event. Great time and great new friends. http://home.comcast.net/~klromer/Flat_Nasty.wmv

GREAT weekend, thanks to the TAC crew for an excellent job of hosting their first event and to Ron/Shiela for the venue. Lots of great donations too, including some kewl gift certs from a variety of vendors, a pile of kiddie prizes, a Ramsey winch for the drivers raffle, and a set of PitBull tires for the grand price. (still think those would look good on my 80...lol)
my damage list included a busted MOT LED taillight and a ding in the body above that, some fry'd wires in the taillight area due to my LED resistor cheater fix, a fry'd wire from the fuse block to the brake light switch, lots of new scratches on the flares, and a barber'd rear driveshaft.... (WTB post is already up - lol)
good to see everyone, and put still more names/usernames/faces/rigs together!

| I agree with the IH8trees idea!! Still a great time and fun to see all the different rigs. Woody, your use of the tmax winch sold me on the product and will soon be adding it to my 60.

| I thought Flat Nasty was a hardcore place.
Jeez, if I knew it was a bunch of soccer mom wagons cruisin' the speed bumps at the mall, I mighta brought mine down.
The flares are starting to look good Woodrow. Remember when mine looked like that? Didn't take much and now it looks like a demolition derby loser.
Wonder how long before the wife will let me take her new FJC? |

| the TAC guys will know for sure, but I believe there were about 70 registered rigs and over 100 folks there....
rumor has it the White Trash is coming again next year, but leavin the rigs at home...lol...they really enjoyed the camping area, it was nice and grassy and open.
I outta have my pics in the gallery tonite...I hope...didn't get too many, but some definitely show how tight the trails were...took a LOT of work to get a 80-series thru

| It was definately a great time wheeling in the trees and putting faces with mud handles. Meeting guys like Romer, Tim, Jason, Matt, Marty, Thad, Woody, Mike, Robbie and just about the entire TLCA Board.
This event absolutely cemented, in my mind, why folks should be members of TLCA. THE PEOPLE. Everyone helping everyone whether spotting, wrenching, a cold number 6 while making new friends around a campfire etc etc. If your not a member, you are missing out.
Hats off to TAC for hosting a great event. They made sure to include all the kids with prizes and events, a true family event
And just so everyone knows, Romer aint a hardass at all
Buck Buchanan
Pictures coming soon

| I thought about winching my rig down to the spot but my 2badfj sliders kept getting stuck on roots sticking out of the ground. I had to walk in just to see the hill. Seriously I gave you sliders some sale effort while I was there and everyone I showed liked them
