Atlanta Trails

I recently relocated from Southern CA to Atlanta and am looking for good trails for my FJ. Any recommendations in the GA area?

There are a lot of great trails in the Atlanta area, I would suggest getting involved with the Georgia Cruiser TLCA club. Check the club chapter thingy here on mud for their contact.

Rich Mountain
The power lines in Conyer are really a fun time.

However, you are only a few hours away from Telico and the north Georgia mountains, there are a lot of fun trails up there as well.

Best bet is to get involved with the locals there in Hotlanta...

A Ramlin' Wreck from Georgia Tech...

Rich Mountain is closed forever, so that's not an option anymore. Anderson Creek OHV is also closed, but we are working hard to try to get it back open again.

The only USFS OHV area in Georgia is Beasley Knob, and it's not for the faint of heart. It gets mighty difficult sometimes.

There are a few places that us locals know, however. My brother and I took a few newbies out this past weekend and had a blast. I'll echo Rezarf's suggestion to get involved with Georgia Cruisers. We run once a month or so, plus you can usually find someone that will wheel with you even if it's not a club event.

Check out the forum for info...

I recently relocated from ATL to SoCal......enjoy the summers (and winters for that matter ). I am no help though as I didn't pick up the off roading thing until I moved here. Good Luck!

I'll be at that Cullowhee run too!

I'll also be at the Southern Cruiser Crawl the weekend before that in B'ham, AL:
