| Carson River run (Barney Riley) I'm going in this thurs-Sat 7/20-22. for a fun run family trip and camping, fishing, hot springs soaking, etc, etc gonna be a great time. I'll be going with my 60, a 4-skinner, and acouple of heeps, but all good friends. if anyone else wants to join up, lemme know. we'll be leaving my house in Pollock Pines on thursday at 8am.

| never heard it called deer valley, but maybe. anyway it starts off of monitor pass , hwy 89, at loope canyon road about 1 mi east of hwy 4. i'll be the one kickin back in the hot sprigs next to my 60! i'll be on cb channel 4, and FRS channel 10/10. have fun maybe we'll see ya.

| pics added from trip had a great time, played in the river, soaked in the springs. the fishing wasn't great because there werwe thunder storms up the vally that mudded up the river, but it was great. nobody else out there.

| couldn't drive across, the day we went in it rained up the canyon, and on us a bit, and it brought the water level up quite a bit.

| it is a good trail, more of a jacked up fire road with many fun challenging sections. along the way there are hard obstacles that don't get done often but are doable. in August the river should be crossable, unless it rains a lot. but usually no sweat. it really is abeautiful area.
