New M100 Build
Well me and a buddy decided to build a tow behind camping trailer based off of what I have been showing him here on MUD. Well after scouring Craiglist, we came across a M100 up in Delaware. So we snatched it up. First thing was to address what did we want-Hot water tank for showers/fresh water. Dual battery, rack for RTT, 35" tires, 3500lb axel with Toyota bolt pattern, extend the front end and so on. Well we started on this a few months ago. I'll post some pics of what is done so far.

We wanted ito lengthen it to have more space for junk on the front(battery box, coolers,ect..) also it makes it easier to tow. The trailer is mainly gonna be used for fishing trips and camping in the Outer Banks, driving on the beach ect..

More Pics of M100
Here are some pics, we cut out the old floor and we measured what size we wanted and had a sheetmetal shop make a new floor taht you can see. We then started on the rack. Next we sanded down to bare metal and Rhino Lined in the bed and on bottom of trailer. The top of trailer is painted with a Rust Bullet type stuff. Oh we are not done with paint yet. All the pics arent really in order because Im pulling the pics from 2 different computers.

Very nice. Looks like you are taking a bunch of ideas from boctor12.
I am going to go ahead an put my water tank, battery box, etc on the inside I think and not extend mine.

Nice work!
FYI, your trailer is not a military M100.
It's a civilian Bantam T-3C.
The clues are:
The factory tailgate (military trailers have no tailgate).
The rear sheetmetal panels containing the tail lights. These reinforce the bed sides, which tend to flex because of the tailgate cutout.
The lack of grab handles on all four corners. (M100 and M416 trailers have handles).
The stack pockets. Military trailers lack these.
Three tie down loops on the side. Military trailers have four on the side. Very early Bantam civilian trailers also have four, but, these lack the sheetmetal bed reinforcement panels and have angle iron struts instead.
No parking brake. Military trailers have parking brakes.
The Fulton ball hitch. All military trailers used lunettes.
Speaking of the Fulton hitch... hopefully you didn't toss out the old hitch setup. There are those restoring these trailers who would gladly purchase it from you.
