How do I replace the wood decking on my trailer?

Hi everyone,
I need to change the rotted wood decking on my Starlite trailer. My questions are 1: How do I get the wood under each lip (front and rear)? 2. And how do I secure the wood down? It looks like the wood was put in place before the end was welded on, so what do I do now?

Thanks,
Zack

Cut out a section of the steel that covers your boards .1" wider than what yuo are going to use for decking . Then slide in the new boards. when your done weld back in the piece you cut out

I had the same problem.Cut boards out and remove one end of metal holding it in,replace boards, treated, and bolt a new metal piece in.This will allow you to one day easily replace boards when they rot again ,and they will. Mike

Do the boards go all the way to either end or can you slide the board forward and pull up at the end. If not, just cut out the old boards, when putting the new boards in, cut them so they can drop down all the way in the back when pushed all the way forward. Once the board is down, slide it back half the distance so each end has the same amount under the lip. Us trailer deck screws. I have found them at the local hardware store. They are self drilling, have an extra thin strip on the bit portion. Drills the wood a little wider than the screw then gets knocked off as it drills into the metal.

Best option in my opinion

Are the boards long enough to pry them up in the middle and extract them that way? Replace the same way if possible. No cutting metal that way.
