Very cool!!! It's looking great! You have a week to finish it before round up.

Thanks, I plan on getting it sand blasted this weekend, then working on it hard during the week. My wife and kiddo are going out of town for Spring break. Hopefully, I won't cut/smash another finger.

Hey Dave,

Looks great...I thought you were going to cut the angle areas "straight" to accommodate flat doors? Are you planning on using the originals? Either way, looks good!! Is there an estimated time of finish for the build?

Thanks, Pat

Yeah, it made a nice awning to sit under. I need to figure out how to incorporate some jacks to keep her from flipping back.

Maybe with one of those straps they use between the outriggers to add tension? If there's room to flip down and fold up, maybe a pc of pipe with a threaded rod inside for some adjustment

Grabbing for straws...

Just wondering, What are the exact box dimensions? That looks like the perfect size for an offroad camping trailer. If I can't find a pioneer trailer I might have to make one from scratch and match the size. Looks great!

I'll try to get some box measurements after work. The data tags were posted here:

Yeah I saw those, sorry I guess I should have asked for the width. without the fenders. Guestimating, I would think that the fenders would be around a foot give or take so I am thinking, 6.5' x 4' ish? Maybe?

Yeah, they are 12 inches wide. I think the overall length of the box is different, but I'll check tonight.

Dave,
If you are going to mount a water tank the cross bars and axle will make it difficult to do so under the box and directly above the axle. I mounted mine forward of the axle If you do the same along with the propane tanks, etc. on the tongue I don't think you will need to worry about it rotating backward. If you still decide on making the the stands why don't you make the mounts for the RTT a little wider and then run a smaller square tube along the inside of the original mount and drill holes to use with cotter pins. It would be a more streamlined system then something that pivots.

That's a great idea, but the rack is already welded to the frame. I was thinking about a similar idea that would run the legs on the outside of the vertical posts with pins.

LOL! Sorry to disappoint. It's been hot as hell and I've been busy. I did finish my 4x4labs bumper. Anyway, I've been accumulating electrical components (130W solar panel, charge controller, on board charger, water pump, etc). I also got some rims and 33" tires. Just need some time and better weather (100 degree days here).
