What to look for when buying a trailer

I need to know what to look for when it comes to buying a used military trailer ie. type, style, size, and weight. Thanks JONNYFJ

What do you plan to do with this thing, that determines everything bud.

If I had to do it again I would wait for a M416 or Canadian 101. I didn't realize the M100 was about 4" narrower than the others until I put it next to my buddy's 416. As for shape, they're all built with alot of metal and as long as you don't have to search for alot of missing parts, there isn't anything a sandblaster or a welding rig can't fix.

I would suggest finding a Canadian m101 trailer, many are near new condition and some never even saw service. they come with a standard 3500 lb axle unlike the older m416's and that allows you to add brakes and change the hubs without hassle.

Anything bigger, and you need a pretty big rig to haul it around.

The can 101's are getting harder and harder to find, but worth jumping on if you find one.

Craigslist and Ebay both have them pop up every once in a while.
