brockhouse trailer: problem
I have an old Brockhouse trailer and I cannot dismantle the handbrale mechanism.
Does anyone recognize this model and can help me? I have to dismantle it for sandblasting, I have tried nearly everything but have no manual, so....

Here is what I do for any stubborn part. Let some PB Blaster soak on it for a few days in a row. Then give it a go, if nothing happens, I put a bit of heat onto it and try again... if nothing happens I put a LOT of heat on it and beat on it in frustration.
I bet it is just rusted bolts, try some of the more trailer specific sites to see if you can get an exploded diagram to see how it goes together. Rezarf <>< __________________ Drew F. Paint it with heat resistant paint and add a rotisserie. It would make a great portable BBQ Nice job.

Very nice work !
I also took a quick look at your web pages and it looks like a lot of good info there too. Thank goodness pictures are worth 1000 words. I am going to study your Hi-Lift jack set up as a trifor winch. I don't think I've seen it done that way before. I like the grab hooks "kettinghaken" you are using. I hope I can find somewhere in the U.S. that can supply them. |
