Are these too heavy for our needs?

Just curious if you guys know more about these trailers:

This one seems like a nice size

This one has a nice useable frame but looks awfully stout. I bet the chassis alone is over a 1,000 lbs

Anyway, just curious...

Thanks.

Those baby's are towed behind the Duce and 1/2. Rather large for the cruiser in my opinion.

the first trailer is the "newer" m101 version 1 1/2 ton. the bed is comparable to a full size pickup.

the second is a m332 ammo trailer. i bought one from them, chambersburg pa. paid 150 bucks. tows pretty good, no more trouble than a 20/22 ft boat. one of the things i did was to cut off the huge stand (that alone weights about 75lbs) and turned the lunette over. i use it every weekend to talk 300lbs of grass clippings to the landfill. it has high sides and the bed is about the size of a mini pickup.

Mine is from 1968 and is the same as this one. The newer A2s had a standard 8 lug 16" wheel not split rims and a surge brake. It rated 3/4 ton off road and 1 1/2 on road. Don't get me wrong it's a great trailer. Towed it behind a 100 series, 4Runner and Tundra all with the 4.7 V8 and handledfine. Used it behind a FJ40 and FJ62 but that was just local for hauling trash. Price is a bit high. I have $500 into mine and that includes the gas to pick it out of state, two spare wheels with tires and the cost of the bonded title. Mine can with the stake sides and all five bows.
