Mike, what pintle setup are you running? Reciever or are you using the 4 bolt holes on the bumper? I have OME heavy setup and my M100 trailer was not level, but leaning forwards due to the reciever/pintle hitch being so low. I ended up using a bolt on pintle hitch and the trailer now sits closer to level. If I end up doing a spring over on the trailer, I would probably need to get a new lunette casting (M100's don't have dual lunette positions like the M416). So you might want to try to put the lunette on the lowest hole and use a bolt on pintle hitch to try to get it level. Just a thought.

Pasquale,

Do you have any pics of your new tongue? Also, did you get rid of the pintle and the casting? Let me know if you still have them and want to get rid of them. My M100 trailer only has one pintle position and I would like to use the lower one (from M416/M101C) to level out my trailer when I spring it over.

d-d......

I'm leaning toward going this route with my M101. Did you have to use a spacer to be able to mount the 315's on stock 80 rims onto the M101?? Do you remember the parts source you used for the hub swap??

Trying to line up my spring projects

Many thanks

No spacer with the 80 series alum wheels - I did extend the fenders out by 3"

hubs -> https://www.southwestwheel.com/store...l0655lb3e.aspx

Pefect fit - hub/bearings/seals/cap

( thanks Brett ( dieselbigot) for finding this info)

Hi desertdude

Do you know if that hub/drum/bearing/seal/cap combo will work on a M416? I'm in the process of buying one and will want to change it to the Toyota bolt pattern when I get it.

Thanks, Kevin

I am not sure about the 416 - you could measure your hub ( or ask an M416 owner) then call Southwest Wheel

No
the M416 uses a much larger spindle . To the point it uses wheel bearings around the size of the front bearings on a LC .
Most people Ive seen ether replace the whole axle with a new one or have the hub/drums redrilled to the right pattern ..

Hi Dave,

The front support casting of the M416/M101CDN will not fit properly on the M100 trailer. It is because The M416/M101CDN are wider than the M100. So, the arms of the draw bar are at different angles where they attach to the front support casting. This doesn't mean that it can't be done, only that it won't be a quick bolt up. I haven't heard of anyone having done this swap. So, document it in writing and photos when you do it. Good luck.

Kevin

I'll take some pics sometime this week, but I did the swap and the person that swapped my M100 lunette with gave me some bent u-bolts that he made up to account for the new angle on the draw arms. I will eventually bend/weld up something more permanent, but it is working quite well.
