Newbie - Need Help Finding a Reputable Toyota Mechanic in Memphis

Hey Yall,

I'm a new (2003) Land Cruiser owner and I need some help from yall in or familiar with the Memphis Area.

I would like to have my new Cruiser checked out and a few minor maintenance and mods performed. (mainly change fluids, am considering new shocks).

My new truck is almost entirely a DD with no serious off roading likely in its future. Maybe across a field, down a gravel road or up to a river in Arkansas.

The problem is that I have NO mechanical knowledge/ability. I am at the mercy of wherever I take my truck. I would like to feel comfortable that I'm getting quality work at a fair price.

On a second note, I would love to get Sirius and iPOD capability...and I've searched all over MUD. It seems the Sirius can't be linked directly into my Nav screen. I would like for the connectivity to be as seamless and hidden as possible. Any direction on who might be able to help with that?

I appreciate your thoughts! Thanks so much for helping this Mud Newby out!

Thanks!

Sowbug2000

Welcome-

There's a handful of us left in the Memphis area (lots of people have moved away recently.) For the most part we do all the maintenance on our trucks.

CPJONES1231 here on mud used to work at Performance Toyota over on Winchester. He still may, but I think he was leaving the area. I think they do quality work at a fair price. (I said "fair", not "cheap"!)

If you want to do it yourself and need a hand, all you gotta do is mention free beer and people will show up to help.

For the electronic stuff, you might want to try one the car audio places that caters to the Grizzlie's players.
