A little Sunday Help?

If anybody from Chattanooga sees this tonight or tomorrow, I could use a had remounting my York compressor. Probably take an hour or two...I had to replace the clutch/pulley... I got it off easy enough, but I think I need a 3rd and 4th hand to get it back on.. Call me if ya'd like to stop over and help...I'll probably be starting around 13:00ish 423---4-2-1-4-1-9-9

York Compressor

Well anyone's welcome to stop by tomorrow, but I took a shot after dinner and was able to get it re-mounted with no issues. Now just have to wait till tomorrow to get a longer belt. I had to switch to a 7" pulley as I couldn't find a 6" anywhere. Damn wide cruiser belts

I'll post up the info in the 40 tech section...

Well, since that is fixed, I got my frame back from the body shop so if any one wants beers in Rome they can come and help me hit it with Chassis black!

Well Damn, I guess I spoke too soon

I can't find a belt that'll work...spent all day trying to find the right length and the 59 3/8" is too short and the next size 61 1/4" is too long, and I can't tension it. I think since the pass radiator support goes through the alternator tension bar on its way to the battery tray/motor mount, its gonna have to be relocated and that might give me more room to let the alternator swing out and tension the longer belt. Other option, which is Roger's suggestion, is to unbolt everything and see if I can get the shorter belt over the pulley and then bolt it back up...Also gonna talk to Gates tomorrow and see if they have an industrial belt that would work...looking for a 5/8" or 11/16" or 21/32" (16, 16.5 or 17mm) width and a length of between 59 5/8" and 60 5/8" or so...got one? Several options to run through

Any idea if a 19mm (3/4") would work in a pinch? They do have the right length in that one

Todd
