Chatt State Welding Class

Hey guys thought some some of ya'll might be interested in this. Chatt State is gonna offer a couple of welding classes this spring. Since I don't really know shit about welding, I signed up for the Intro class, but since they are both offered at the same time by the same instructor, I guessing that you can progress and learn as much or as little as you want. Classes are Monday and Wednesday 5-7pm at Chatt State and run from 2/25 till 4/9

Visit the Con Ed site at Chatt State if you're interested...

Todd

Todd,
I think you will find the class very useful and enjoyable. A few years ago I took the welding classes at North Metro Tech which appears to be similar to what you are signed up for. The primary focus of the class was stick welding, but we also used MIG welders. After the class, I purchased a small MIG welder for the shop per my needs, but I appreciate the capabilities and versatility with a stick welder too. Enjoy and maybe a new rear bumper will be one of your projects.

I've taken several welding classes over the years. Learned alot each and everytime, even after been certified, blah, blah, etc... One thing I enjoy about the classes is the time you get on machines you wouldn't normally get to use. When I was in the market for a TIG machine, I went to the school, spoke to the instructor, told him my intentions about getting some seat time on a few different TIG machine to see which i like best. It was money well spent.
