Angry

I had planned all month to be there...
Of course something came up today that will keep me from showing up.
When is the next "meeting"?

(How late will you guys end up being there?)

Good to see you guys last night.

Chris, glad to hear your cargo made it home with you. I'm sure the cars behind you felt the same.

Hola mi amigo's. My son and I dad a great time in Tracy City...Pete and I had a blast showing those big heep owners that stock and not-so-stock stock 80's can hang with the best of them.

Looking forward to the next ride! I noticed alot of "wanting a quiter place" in the past posts. My father-in-law owns Double Hill Billiards in Hixson (on Northpoint Blvd between O'Charlies on Hixson Pike and Home Depot on Northpoint) and has a large parking lot + its a non-smoking club (Sorry Todd). They have good food and lots of beer on tap and in bottle, plus 20+ pools tables and dart boards...and Texas Hold'em.

We ought to schedule a cruise in with all the LC's there. Would be cool to see all the different rigs...maybe even talk to Capital about sponsoring it!

Has anyone been to Capital lately? They have a SWEET totally restored 40 sitting in their showroom!

My email is schafer.steve@gmail.com and my number is 423-421-8168 if anyone wants to contact me.

Wouldn't mind someplace else for a change. Depending on the UTC football schedule especially. parking sucked the other night!

Im bringing another FJ40 owner with me. His is a '77, near stock, but restored 40. Might have seen it around E. Chattanooga. His plate reads "No Jeep".

Yeah, I would prefer not a thursday night either. Any other night I can make it. It would be nice to see everyone again considering I've been back in the area for a month and a half and haven't been able to get to a meeting yet! arg.

I am open to changing the night if it does not conflict with other peoples schedules. What's the opinion of the group? Currently we are scheduled for Thursday Sept. 27 at T-Bones.

Well I suggest we keep it the last week of the month, but the day really doesn't matter to me. My Call schedule varies from week to week so what's good one month, will be a conflict the next or the next. I can usually swap call days to make the meeting.

As to location, I'm up for anything, I don't think we've found the perfect location, but I like T-bones also. If the smoking bothers folks, there are a few locations downtown that have big beer selections and no smoking. The new Market Street Tavern comes to mind. I believe this will become a moot point as of Oct 1st when the ban goes in to effect. I like the downtown locations because there close to me as well as being near the Interstates since many of the folks attending actually live out of town.

So with all that being said why don't we try Double Hill Billiards in Hixson on Tuesday September 25th at 7:00 pm EASTERN (for Hugh)

Let us know if you can make it!

Todd

Todd, Double Hill does have an outdoor smoking deck...and a large assortment of beer.

I heard two numbers...the driver that drove me to work when I dropped my 80 off told me $80k, the other came from the FJ40 guy that is coming to the next meeting with me that knows the owner of the FJ (son of the owner of Capital) and he said he heard $60k...either one is insane.

Looks like I will be bringing two new guys. My FJ40 friend and a friend of his that is rebuilding a 40 as well.

"Todd, Double Hill does have an outdoor smoking deck...and a large assortment of beer."

I vote for any place with a large assortment of beer.
Or anyplace with just SweetWater.

I vote for Double Hill,
Tues the 27th
7:00pm

We can always return to T-Bones.........

.

I can't believe he dropped 60K on that. I spent an hour going over it when I was trying to get them to put toyota trails in the package with the FJ Cruisers and most of the parts were cool cruiser repo stuff and not OEM. I noticed repo parts even used when I know there is NOS toyota stuff available. Also I was told that Capital did all the work and I doubt it was done for retail pricing. To be honest, for a frame off its a 10 foot truck, if you know what to look for. If you've ever seen a stage III TLC up close you'll know what I mean, and also what a 70K frame off looks like.

But to each his own...

See ya'll at the meeting...Tuesday the 25th Brog

If I can get a general headcount, if there are enough of us, I will make sure they (DoubleHill) have someone on staff that night to just take care of us...

If there will just be a few of us, then I wont bother...

So, count me in, plus another FJ40 owner and a friend of his

Thats 3...

Is there anyway I can post a .wmv on here? I have a commercial of the DoubleHill I can post.
