I get my mags much later than everyone else here, guess the Canuck postal system is a lot slow.

better off buying back issues than joining up IMHO., sorry folks
granted I'm in canada, but if you can't manage to mail a magazine here, just say so

PM me your address and I'll send you your missing issues. That said, if it goes postal into Canada, it's slow.

Did you actually contact Jennifer about your membership status?

Depending on the timing you could have just missed Jan/Feb. Did you get your welcome pack?

I need to correct my earlier statement that the most current issue is included in the welcome pack. It is not. It's included in the information pack.

If you join after the current issue has mailed, your membership is extended for another issue to take this into account.

For example, if you join after Thursday of this week, which is when the mailing list is final for the March/April issue, you will not receive the March/April issue unless you buy it as a back issue. Your first issue will be May/June and your one year subscription will expire after the March/April 2008 issue (should you choose to let it expire).

This is my understanding of how it works -- feel free to chime in if you know differently.

I am now officially bowing out of membership issues and will continue to produce the magazine.

And I'm sorry for the earlier bit of bad information.

TJK

If you all care to visit our website, it specifically states when you can expect your first issue after joining. http://www.tlca.org/membership/

So, if you joined after December 1st, your 1st issue would be the March/April issue. We work 30 days ahead of each issue date so mailing lists for each issue are sent to the publisher 30 days PRIOR to the next issue date. This is also why it is imperative that you renew BEFORE your expiration date.

If you move & don't tell us your new address, your Trails won't get forwarded. It is each member's responsibility to notify the membership office of any address changes. Bulk mail is not forwarded.

If you don't receive your current issue & your membership is current & you haven't relocated, please contact me at membership@tlca.org. I can't help you if I don't hear from you.

Still no May/June issue, is this some kind of game???

Others in BC get thier issues s month before I do.

What gives and please do not blame it on the Canuck postal system.

Holy thread revival.

I just got mine on Saturday 4/19/07 and I live in in central California. I also paid for first class postage.

Radd, the membership service contact info is in the first post here.
I've contacted Jenn for you, and she will look back into your issue.
TLCA have switched from bulk USPS services to Periodical service.
When an issue is undeliverable, the USPS sends us back the cover of the magazine with the bad address.
Yours has not come back as undeliverable.
However, as you're well aware, once mail leaves the US system and enters the Canadian system, tracking and management becomes much harder.
This is frustrating for everyone; you because you don't get your Trails in a timely manner, and us because we have a very limited number of options in dealing with this once it leaves the hands of the USPS.
