Back Issues of Toyota Trails with 2nd Gen 4Runners

I'm beginning a little research for a class paper project coming up. I (think, but cannot remember for sure) there being something once or twice with a 1990-1995 4Runner in it. At this point, anything will help and more-so if it is either available as a back-orderable issue or one someone is willing to lend me or copy for me. An event, an adventure/trip article, or even something with pictures will suffice here.

Probably a silly post and idea when we look at things overall, but I actually plan to use this as an additional source for a final paper next semester about the Japanese car market in America and it's overall impact, including the off-road community.

*basically, what better source than TLCA and the magazine, right?

THX in Advance..I'll update my sig to reflect my TLCA# once I get it all confirmed.

hmmm... check with Jerod Knox, 2ndgentoyotaowner or lover or something... he might know as he loves 'em, and of course, you might drop Todd Kaderabek a note and inquire if he knows off the top of his head.

I do know we have had a Tacoma and a Lexus on the cover...

best of luck.

Thanks Tony, you know I actually half thought of doing just that as I think Jerrod's one of the few others as fanatical abut the 4Runner's as I am. Just he has a 1st gen is all but you never know, right. PM Sent.. I just wish I could narrow it down is all, looking around now for old issues and any availability is seemingly nil.

Anyone else wanting to chime in and/or offer help I'm game, I'll happily accept scanned in images of the issue or article, whatever, and if you prefer to just mail me the issue(s) i will ensure they're cared for and returned post haste.

BTW, I'm honored that our organization president took the time to reply, thanks.

*I wonder if Marlin would have anything?? Maybe Marv?

Talking

Bump so Tony knows who this is that's been chatting with him.

BTW, as to the reply to the topic of this thread having been.. (Jerod's comment?)

"Well, write something up then!"

Well, I did and just submitted the link to it so I can feel all the Cruiser owners cringe at a 4Runner being in an article.

Articles for Toyota Trails need to be kept off of the internet for exclusivity purposes. Email Todd Kaderabek at editor@tlca.org to find out what you can do with that write up.

Here are the guidelines. Contact Todd and see what he can do. The entire Nov/Dec issue is all TLCA member submitted content.

Art and Jerod.

*Sorry I just saw you two replied to this.

I already got a reply from Todd and it was what I expected given Jerod's reply. In some way I did know of/expect the exclusivity clause. Pretty much like I had with 4WD Toyota Owner, where I offered up more than one opportunity to pick up an article and also the opportunity to pick up my photo and writing abilities on certain things or the ability to contact me to request attendance and event coverage.

I am not worried about things, if someone here wants to read something of mine badly enough I'll either give in to peer pressure and post online or someone will eventually strike when the times right and offer an article opportunity. So that all being said, I'll offer the same thing, if someone wants me to attend and cover an event, or assist with an article being put together and submitted in some way, you have the opportunity. Just pm me and we'll talk.

As for me, well, here's the writeup I mentioned: http://forum.ih8mud.com/79-95-toyota...ect-wimpy.html
