Thumbs up Back Issues

I just bought both 2002 and 2000 back issues of TT and I must say what a great view into the history of both TLCA and the Land Cruiser.

Just amazing reading material....

And the previous editors/writers/photographers/vendors....are all top notch.

Mark Whatley's LC tech is worth the price of on these issues--is there anything that this guy doesn't know about Toyota related....

And I also noticed that there were many interesting, almost quasi-philosophical discussions about trail reports, wrenching on rigs, and the like. Very high quality writing.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you folks back in the day (not really but it seems like a bit ago) who really set the TT standard high!

Best.

How do you order back issues, and how much are they?

TLCA has truly been blessed with excellent Editors and content contributors. The talent within the ranks of TLCA is amazing.

I am always fond of saying...

our club is only as our members, and our members are great!

and Mark Whatley is like a pillar in this association. We are very fortunate to have him intimately involved.

I ordered a bunch that I didn't have a while back. I ordered the oldest on they had I think it was a '97 edition I'm not sure. But yes I agree with Beno there is nothing like reading the back issues. I think I remember reading one that was scattered with comments on how the old cruisers where starting to be replaced with the new kids on the block (FJ60). Arguments on the capabilities of the FJ60. How far we've come. The 100 series and FJ Cruiser's capabilities aren't even a question. The family had grown enormously. I love the old Toyota Trails and I love the new "shiny" Toyota Trails. I still jump right to tech exchange my favorite section! Mark's style of writing coupled with his vast knowledge of cruisers and Alaska make for a timeless article. I just wish his intros could be longer!

Tony's articles aren't to bad either!
