Don't worry Ken, there will be at least one other Lexus there (mine).

I won't make you drive the bunny trails alone

I'm coming as much for the fresh, cool (compared to Houston) air and cruiserheads as I am for the wheeling. I could wheel much closer to home that same weekend at the 40,000acre YO Ranch.

But that is not a TLCA event, and Flat Nasty is.

Given I'll be driving an extra 800 miles, I sure am glad gas is down in price!

Looking at the map there look to be 3 catagories. The 3+to 4 (out of 5) trails look to be yellow and there look to be a lot of them. Am I reading that right?

There have been at least 3 easy trails opened and 2 or 3 easy moderate trails (stock jeeps have run them) since we had our prerun. The map, I don't think, has been updated.

Thanks, easy is not what I am looking for. Trails that recommend 33's and lockers, just don't want likely damage. If you use the following trail rating system:

http://www.4x4trails.net/forums/memb...action=ratings

I am looking for a 7 or 8. 9 is more for rock crawling

9 says, "Body damage, mechanical breakdown, rollover probable. Extreme caution required."

It's where it goes from body damage possible to probable that I draw the line.

I am sure I will find what I am looking for if I come out. No worries!

Bring the 80 Brian. Let me drive it for a while while nakman drives mine. I promise, I'll treat it just like you did mine

Probably better than you treat it anyways.

See you then

We'll be getting there as quickly as our 10 month old allows. Check-in isn't going to amount to much, best to bring an unopened frosty beverage with you to speed up the process though .

Does anyone know if the off road park has an air station to air back up? If not, how about a place close by?

Air.. Yes at park and on my truck.. Many of us will assist with your needs.. (Truck related, keep your personal needs to yourself!)
I plan on staying possibly thru all of Sunday to make sure everyone is on the road ok and doesnt' need anything further. Parts, a ride, towed out, etc.. I've got a york on my rig that will air things up, Ron the owner has a compressor in his shop that can be used as well. We'll have welders there, along with a ton of "stuff".. Plus woody will be there, he's good at fixing stuff with bubblegum and duct-tape..

I"ll have at least tech setup on wednesday most of day.. Now whether or not I'll be sitting in the tent all day is to be questioned.. I might be pre-running some trails..
Relaxing is part of the whole game.. So to answer your question, you can easily tech in that fast and sign the tlca insurance wavier but registration will have to wait for Trainrech to show up.

Started staging gear tonight! Hoping to avoid the reverse stink-bug. Might need to wedge a few stones between the springs and the perches...for a low buck spacer lift.

We've piled up everything in the garage, shy of food and coolers. I have a meeting from 7 to around 8:30 tonight that I can't miss - will load up around it. Should (or hope to) be on the road around 8 AM for a mid-afternoon arrival.
