Glitter Gulch Gambol 2006

The events page on www.tlca.org is not showing the correct information for this year's Gambol. Is there someone who can correct it as shown in the "sticky" 2006 Event Schedule thread?

Correct Info:
Glitter Gulch Gambol
October 20-22, 2006, Mesquite, Nevada
TLCA Sanctioned Event hosted by Southern Nevada Land Cruisers
Contact: John Day, Joel Cooper, gambol@snlc.org

OK, I think I fixed this in all the right spots. I just took over this webmaster job a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't reviewed every single page on the TLCA web site yet. Please let me know if I missed anything. You can e-mail me at:

Thanks!

Generally the wheelin is on Fri and Sat.
What do you want to wheel? The scenic stuff or some of the more difficult terrain?

I'll be playing on the harder trails, we almost always have extra seats available.

More than happy to have you come down

Day before yesterday, yes. I emailed John Day but it bounced back. Sent two messages to bodreps. No response from SNLC. Ideas?

C'mon stinky!!

I'm waiting a few more days to register. I need to find out if I got drawn for elk and when before I totally commit to this. Draw results should be out this week or early next. AZ is on a lottery system for all hunt permits, in case your wondering WTF I'm talking about.

yeah, thats the only bad thing, it falls during hunting season. But that might be ok, I have an archery tag for Sept. so we will see.

Of course it depends on where the rest of my life leads me

Hmmm. According to Yahoo Maps, it's only 668 miles from Denver to Mesquite, NV, with an approximate travel time of 9.5 hours. When does registration close...?

I think you will be fine. Typically you can register at teh event.

That being said. we do need a count for T shirts and food. So, if you register at the event, you might not get to eat

Figger about 10 hrs from Denver to Mes. Depending on how many fillups you have to do. In a 40, it will take longer

cmon out Matt.

Just mapquested from Sacramento, it's only 10 hours from here too. Hmmm....

Is there good wagon wheeling territory, or is it all for SWB trucks?

A few of us always run the Hammers in October... I think we were one week off last year. Hoping our schedule coincides with Gambol so we can Hit It while we are down in your neck of the woods (or desert in this case).

Won't know for sure till we draw closer to that time of year.

Well, I didn't get drawn for squat this fall hunting season, so it looks like I will be sending in my registration shortly. Looking forward to attending my first TLCA event

Since I have never been to anything more than a 1 day event, can someone fill me in on the particulars of food and water. Do I need all my own except for the dinner? Do I bring a bunch of stuff to share? Is there water available at the camp spot ( I will be camping with my 4 yr old daughter). Please give me the skinny. Thanks

You should plan for your own food for everything bit the Sat night dinner. I will be doing something for fri night dinner but having your own might not be a bad idea (incase you don't like what I make) reakfast wil be on you as will lunches. Bring a LOT of water, for the trail and at camp. There is no potable water provided at camp. There will be a restroom at the camp.

If you want to bring extra to share you are more than welcome to. Food or it is always welcome by someone. But it is entirely up to you..

Be nice to meet you
