I guess my thinking was along the lines of what constitutes 50? 10 families of 5, 50 adults, etc...

Anything I can do to help at this point?

Hey!! This is the producer of the Legendary Land Cruiser documentary, is it possible to set up a small presence at your event? I would love to come down and take part and maybe even set up a small "booth" about the video if I can?

I think you should contact each event. If this happens yes you are more than welcome to come booth or no booth.

I would love to do it, but I don't know if I can swing that much cash. 200 per person = 400 for me and wife. How many days is the prices for and what extra prices might be involved (Off roading ect...).

Right now we're gathering info on "If we build it will they come" so I agree.. We will provide a ton of data on what all is included with what pricing etc.. The hardest thing we're trying to figure out is if we put down this deposit we pretty much gotta do it or we're not gonna make it.. It's scary for us, we are just guaging interest, then Chef and the TornadoAlleyCruisers will get it organized totally..

I'll come set up a booth but I am going to need to see what kind of interest there is to commit that kind of cash, not to mention its a long way to drive. But if it looks like a lot of people are coming out and they are interested in the documentary for sure I'll be there.

Just back from Rubicon, and leaving again for another week, so brief answers:

Cost is "as yet to be determined," but this venue runs "higher end events," and cost will be in large part determined on how we have them cater meals, whether folks want driving instructional courses available, etc.

There has not been much feedback in those regards.

Elliott, you've got email....

Look for more details in January TT, and here. We have quite a bit to work thru to make this happen, but I *really* want to do this....

revamp the poll?

Mr. President,

In my ever so humble opinion, your poll might be a more useful source of information for your plannning/decision-making if it were revamped to show the following:
----------------------------------------------------
I prefer October, but will attend in June, too.
I prefer June, but will attend in October, too.
I will only attend if it is in October.
I will only attend if it is in June.
I don't care when, I will attend.
I am not interested.
-----------------------------------------------------
This would differentiate between the parental attendees who could only come in the summer and those childless folks who merely have a preference for the cooler October weather, but would attend even if we have to cater to the family types by having it in June.

Just my 2 bits. Thanks for doing all this work to make this happen so we can all have a good time.

Regards,
psfpilot

Actually, no.
But!
We are gonna have it somewhere else:
www.flatnasty.net

It will not be a high end, or high cost event, but, all the same alterna-activities apply, as it will be in the same neck of the woods, and the wheeling is better

Thanks Chef, this could be my first TLCA event and I'm alittle excited. I think the Doc guy and myself are going to hook up and make the trek down. I'll keep checking back.

The event date is not Set in Stone yet.
We meet with the site owner of www.flatnasty.net the weekend of April 1 to pre run the site, and get some details squared. Then I have to make sure it's a go with TornadoAlley, We'll have ads on the interweb soon, and then July/Aug, Sept/Oct Toyota Trails.
I'm working the details as fast as I can, which is not all that fast...

Missouri in the fall - awesome.

Let's get some dates! I want to put this into my families' schedules (my sister and parents live in MO) so that everyone can plan around it.

You have the place. Just pick the weekend for optimum fall color viewing, and let's get this thing on the TLCA calendar.
