Any updates?

What happening earlier in the week? With a bit of luck, I should be getting into town late Monday night.

tons of people will already be there and be doing their own thing, hitting town, partying, working on rigs, and, of course, running trails.

C-Dan-We'll be by your place Monday evening for beers, Tuesday at the latest. I assume you'll be in your traditional spot?

PS-I'm trying to think of a reason that I need that front axle housing! The spouse was just mentioning this am how sick she is of Cruiser parts in the garage, the back yard, and the area around the trash cans. She does not realize that parts hoarding is NORMAL.

We will be near the south fence but not right in the corner.

It is not hoarding..........It is planning ahead...

How big are the slickrock tenting spots. I've heard that by Canadian standards they're small. Enough room for truck, tent and a couple of tables?

the "covered tent spots suck. just enough room on the ground for my 10x10, but not tall enough. you have to park in the lane in front of your spot, as long as no one else parks there first.

I learned I have a No hookup spot instead of a tenting spot. It's larger and no covered thing.

They're 25 ft or so. That's good as I need space to put all my junk.

We stayed in the SE corner last year at the open tent sites. There are a few trees shading the area with picnic tables and a large sand square area to pitch the tent. Here's a pic:

Any chance of sending out something? I don't have much proof that I registered except maybe a paypal email kicking around on one of the computers somewhere. I'd hate to drive for 18 hours and then find out that my registration got lost

Pretty pissed of at SlickRock now. I made a reservation in Jan and was told I could get the back row, 2 spots next to the kiddies playground. Gives good parking etc. Now they say they never guarantee a spot and stuck a school there and we are moved somewhere closer in the middle of the campground. Guess what my opinion would be when we discuss the next CM and the 'official campground'. Think it is time for a change.

Slickrock recently changed hands. I do not know when but I wonder if they doinked you in the process.

Its funny that they don't reserve spots but they did for the school....? I have been trying to get the event moved since the first time I went. Unfortunately the majority doesn't care so it stays at Slickrock. I hate that place. Maybe with a little pushing we can get it moved.

I made the reservations with the new owners. I will campaign for getting it moved. Dust & fuzz balls and now bad service just sucks. Someone else down there must want the business.

You are probably right. We should reconnoiter While we are there. There is the place right behind Slickrock that I see motor homes go in an out of all the time and there are two places to the north.

Hey guys, I've been up after midnight every night since this weekend working on trail assignments. We normally send out assignments around the middle of April, and continue this tradition this year. There have been too many changes and too much shuffling to get them out before now. 150 rigs times a dozen trails times three days is a huge job! I sent the database out and you should be getting emails by the end of this week. If anyone wants to know what trails I have put you on or have any specific questions hit me direct. My contact info is in the masthead of Toyota Trails, Mountain Central IR.

Thanks and happy cruisin'!

Oh I'm keeping my camp spot right through.

I was thinking it might nice once and awhile to get cleaned up good and sleep in a real bed.

Plus now I hear my neighborhood might be going down hill. I distinctly asked to be placed on the other side of the camp from that Christo guy, now he's probably next door.

BTW - I did book a motel room (HolidayInn Express) for the Monday night that I arrive (likely getting in pretty late). They mentioned that it's wierd how all of a sudden they are totally booked on the Thursday thru Sat.

Damn. Now MY neighborhood is going downhill

I booked my room there right after I sent in my reg form for CM05...before they had an idea of what was coming down the line
