What people think of CruiseMoab...

was just talking to the folks at Slickrock. (there is plenty of sites left, btw, no panic)
and referred to the CM event.

Lady said something like "oh yes, it's some sort of vehicle thing. Cherokees I think..."

and then somehow while she mentioned quiet time and how peaceful the campground is she said something to the effect that "not to worry, these are older people at this event.."

there you have it! what people think of u.. errrr.... you guys!

we actually are a quiet group for the most part. that doesn't mean that we don't party into the night, we just do it respectfully. besides, after the easter jeep crashers, we're probably saints.

Butch I think you eyes bore a hole through me that next morning at about 9 ish...seeing your condition...and a swig left in the "other" wiskey bottle...I grabbed it and said..."Want some Jack? Or did The Gentleman get you last night?"

I know the feeling. It never seems like it's gonna be real bad while it's going on.

I haven't seen that shade of green in quite a while, Butch!

Not to spoil your fun, but she might have gotten cruise moab confused with the NAXJA event since she mentioned Cherokees... NAXJA(North American XJ Association) also holds an annual Moab event, and most of the guys on that board are older as well, or were until the past year or so. Just a heads up, not tryin to piss in the wheaties

I remember in 2002 I was paying for the campsite at the office and a rv owner came in and started complaining about all the trucks driving around the campsite at 2 in the morning and getting dust in his rv. The owner just kinda chuckeld and made some comment of "maybe he should come here when easter jeep safari is going on".

I'll have some Maker's Mark flowing. Maybe some port. Plenty of beer. Stogie(s).

I'm quiet. Unless we decide to do some mid-night wrenching!

Can't wait!

Chris

I'm not coming to Moab, cause we sold our house and close next Friday, then have one week to vacate, moving from a 2500 sq ft 6 BR into a 1200 ft 3 BR.....temp. until we can build a new one... We have lived in this home since 1978, do you have any idea how much junk you can collect over this length of time, and where the heck do we put it all............worked most of the day, cleaning out the attic, and 2 closets........... course a lot of that time was spent sitting around reliving memories of events and fun times. All 3 of the kids left their rooms with a lot of the childhood things intact, so we are boxing this stuff up and giving it back.......but next year, I hope to be back......

Understand, Butch. We'll miss you. Probably hoist a beer or two (we got 4 cases of Shiner donated) and/or some Gentleman Jack in your honor. Happy moving!
