I was looking at the inspection check list and everything is cool but the horn. How important is that? And can a hand held horn work as well?

Also, haven't seem my conformation yet. Is there a list posted? Are they being sent via email?

Confirms can take two weeks... drop Cindy a note at Rubithon@tlca.org and ask.

Yes, a hand held works, and no horn is not a show stopper for Rubithon. I would not sweat it.

Hey, if you got your ebrake squared away, I am not going to hassle you about a horn.

Hopefully all wagon run peeps read this thread!

Yes, that is my error on that page...

well regardless of the sign up page, Andy is leaving at 7 AM, and I suggest you be there.

and 20 trucks is no problem... you have excellent trail committee, the trucks meet our requirements, and you have the entire trail to yourselves on a Wednesday. Life is great!

Andy and all Trail leads will be contacting their group to ensure good communication on arrival at trail head time, and ideal departure time.

Final lists go out this weekend at its registration cut off.

Wednesday Wagon Run Details

We'll start tech inspections at 7am and depart at 8am sharp from the Loon Lake Dam. The goal will be Little Sluice for lunch, and Buck Island by mid afternoon.

Bring a Ham (2m) radio if at all possible. With this big a run the CBs are useless and will not be in use. We'll be on 146.460MHz unless someone else is using that frequency, then we'll be on 146.400.

We'll be taking the upper route on the Granite Bowl which is quicker and more scenic with the wagons. I should have it marked with red plastic tape. We'll likely take a morning break at Ellis Creek, a lunch break at Little SLuice, and if we are really on top of it with no major repairs, we'll check out Old Sluice.

There are 4 committee members: Me, Joe Somerville, Rick Cortez, Alvaro Rodriguez. I think Robbie A will be joining us too as unofficial committee. I would like to keep moving early on, but there will be plenty of help in the hard sections. As a rule, we do not run side obstacles and stick to the trail until it's clear we can make camp by dark. The first day can be long.

If there is any breakage, we'll stop and make repairs, but if it's a big repair, we'll leave help, tools and parts, and keep most of the group moving. Err on the side of too many spare parts especially if you have a non-stock truck. If the past is any indication, a spare rear driveshaft would be something everyone should have, unless your buddy has one that will fit your truck. Generally wagons almost never break-except the rear drive shaft.

I will be contacting all of you by phone before the run to chat about your truck and to answer any questions.

I am going to ask everyone to torque their knuckle stud nuts before we start each morning.

Looking forward to a great event. You can PM me with questions.

And?

First time for everyone. Don't worry--I'll have a ton of spare parts and can fix my own junk.

PS: I'll have run it backwards before I run it with the group.

if in doubt, contact Cindy at Rubithon@tlca.org... I am terrible at recognizing folks by MUD names, but based upon that Sr Driver crock of BS, I presume this is R__________. Confirmed Received.

Shoot, I played the "Extra rear driveshaft" card LAST year....to Marcus. I'm riding bareback this year, though I am running a re-tubed (thicker) rear driveshaft now.
Good news? I got a big box from Bobby Long, got a smaller box from Kurt. Got an appointment with Sean at River City Differential next week...
Bad news? I don't have a horn either.
