Rubithon '08 Spare Parts Database

There have been a few requests for a database of spare parts people will be bringing to Rubithon. If everyone bringing spare parts could post up what they're bringing and which run they'll be on, it may help in the event of a breakage. I think this thread should be limited to the following info only and chat should be completely avoided. I will be happy to convert this thread into a spreadsheet if I can find the time. I will be spending almost all of my free time preparing for the festivities
  • Run you will be on
  • Part name(s)-(be as accurate as possible)
  • Model and year(s) the part fits
  • Your mechanical ability (in)-optional
  • Special skills/abilities-also optional

I'll have a whole bunch of the usual repair stuff in camp thursday morning, ask for Firefly or John Pardi with TOTR, If we have it, we can hike up the trail to get it to you. If your stuck at Spider and Merlin is around, we can get in touch via ham radio. I wish we had this data base 20 years ago, for the first ten years I pulled a trailer load of parts. BUT "we won't need no stinkin parts" John aka PARDION

I'll have a complete set of FJ40 front, inner & outer, and FJ40 rear axles, and an FJ40 rear drive shaft. And probably a couple of extra Birfields.

The Knorr Bros. are bringing in a trailer with the heavy spares... I'm adding a third and a couple of mini-knuckles (passenger side). I know they're adding another third. Probably more. This trailer will be parked on the slabs by the river. where they usually park it...
On the wagonrun, I'll be carrying: a couple of driveshafts, pair of birfs, long side rear axle, 2Fwaterpump, 2Ffuelpump, handful of '74ish carbparts, some nuts&bolts, some fluids.....the usual stuff.

Primary:
4 -5 liters of Cazadores 100% blue agave Tequila
10-15 shot glasses
Couple dozen green chile bean burritos (PETT w/ extra WAG bags).
Ipod full of reggae (and Lynard Skynard).
Chain saw, splitting maul, windproof lighter, campfire permit.
Blue tarp, DEET and comfy camp chair.

Willing and happy to wait a week or two on the trail for the rescue party to arrive.

If bored while waiting for help:
Duck tape, bailing wire, zip ties, multi-tool, and large hammer.

And since you asked... some extra weight to make wheeling more challenging (FJ60 spares):
Driveshaft, FF/RR FJ60 axles, birfs, knuckle kit, bearings, knuckle(RT), rod ends (80 Series), JACK STANDS <=very popular.

Enough fluids and grease to change everything - including the necessary accessories to get it out, get it in, clean-up and haul it out.

Box of Electrickery stuff plus hoses, clamps, spark plugs, bolts/nuts, tire plugs, valve stems and monkey snot.

Tools:
A 17mm socket and extension to check knuckle studs/nuts daily.

Wrenching ability:
Basically helpless (but not as bad as TRT2), willing to watch if you show me.

Last but not least:
2m radio - call sign KI6TLC monitoring 146.460 simplex and the "805" repeater.

Run:
Mudrak's Double Locker Run a.k.a. "Lock and Roll" Run
Somewhere on the trail, both directions, day or night, between Sunday and Sunday.
