AC Died on the way in
Crossing Wyoming yesterday my AC started squeeling and then died. The Clutch siezed. On the way here, we called Toyota Dealers, Checkers, pepe boys and couldn't get anything till Thursday, but we will be on the con.
Most likely the clutch has failed and replacing that would fix it.
Cdan in another post provided part numbers for the hole shebamg, but I talked to a few who just replaced the clutch with ggod success and that requires no recharge but does require a special tool
http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...-question.html
If anyone coming in later can fanagle a Clutch for me (Checker might be able to do it) I will repay you when you get to Rubicon springs. Just the clutch.
Thanks
My cell is 303-439-9936, call me if you find something

Ken
I just called my local Toyota dealer and they said they could have it tomorrow for me and it is $240 but I know the manager and can get 20% so it should be around $200+tax.
Clutch, 88410-26110
Let me know and I can call back so he can order it before 3:30. I will have to pay over the phone when I call back to order it. I can try your phone later. We don't have checkers but I can try Napa or Kragen. I am coming in on the Thurs. run to Buck Island.

Local dealership sez the closest one (A/C clutch) is in Washington state...
Napa sez you gotta buy the compressor too...closest one is in Texas....
Carquest on Broadway, in Sac, will have one at 0900 today. 114 bucks....

Ken, I have my old compressor that I replaced because of an internal bearing failure. At least that is what we figured so I had to do the whole thing. If any of this will work you can have it for free and I will be at the Ice House Wednesday and on the Thursday straight through run.
Let me know if you want it and I will pack it.

Everything is packed and the FJC is on the trailer ready to go. I'll swing by the airport in the morning and pickup my passenger, then back to the house to switch cars and we're on our way to Robb's. Should be at Robb's around 1pm to drop the tow rig and trailer then heading directly for the trail.

Well I am pulling the plug on Rubithon this year. I just simply did not get everything done that I needed to do to feel comfortable on the trail. Maybe I'll make it next year.
If someone could please inform Andy Pollock on the wagon run that I will not be there that would be great. I tried reaching him on my HAM but I am new to these and could not program in the repeater.
Thanks,
Dylan
