Or, if you attended Rubithon last year, just use the old 2007 form for now, and mark it up for your changes.
On the 'attended last year' comment, we have implemented new pricing for Rubithon in 08, but anyone who attended in 07 and is returning, can capitalize on 07 pricing.

This gave me an idea.... Todd, would it be too much trouble to host printable copies of the event registrations on TLCA.org? A lot of people don't like to maim their magazines... some people are in the above or similar situation.... Just a thought.

The Premier package says includes all the above, is that two t-shirts and hoodies since everything else is two? Does it include TLCA membership since it says everything above. Just checking.
I am coming with daughterofromer and will check the Option 9 for Rising Sun group. Just want to make sure I select the correct option for two people shirts included.
Thanks Tony and looking forward to this

(copy and pasted from flyer)
The Premier Package includes
everything: event registration, two Saturday
breakfasts, two Saturday dinners, two event T-shirts,
1st class TLCA membership, event hoodie and
additional Grand Prize Raffle ticket!
I'd say 1 tlca memership, and 1 hoodie

Sold the 40 about 18 months ago. It was sad but every penny went into upgrades on my 80

I think we might need committee support for the Friday morning run. Both Geoff and I have not been able to contact our current committee members.
Raffle stuff always appreciated, send to Dave, give to Tony or Bring to PMC Meeting.
thanks John et al.

yes, dogs are often found along the trail. Remember it is a county road and while on trail I do believe it is leash required and or be harnessed in vehicle.

For those who do not know. When arriving for Rubithon at the Loon Lake Staging area you can camp , there are sites by the lake with paved roads and bathrooms. If you are arriving the night before your run or nights before it is fun and comfortable to stay there and get ready. Sometimes you can go play around on the areas close by and get a taste of the trail.

Check out Ice House Resort (not really a resort, but a bed and a shower) and Robs Resort (similar accomodations).
Fill up with gas before you hit Ice House road if possible to save some money. If you are doing the Wednesday Run, there will be others of us staying at Ice House Tueday Night.

I just registered and I'm looking forward to this run. I've always seen trucks and trailer just off to the left of the spillway as you drive down towards the trail-head. I plan on trailering my rig and was wondering if there is anything I need to be aware of with respect to leaving my truck and trailer at the staging area?

Two years ago some of us stayed in Pollock Pines the night before a breakfast run starting at Ice House. Dinner and hot showers before takeoff. Seems like about 45 minutes to Ice House and another 30 to Loon. I'm sure people do it faster but we're just cruisin' in 40's. Be sure to fill up in Pollock Pines the night before as the gas is much cheaper...make that less expensive.
And we never go 5 days without showers when we have an onboard shower

Your truck should be fine at the staging area, if it is full when you get there you can backtrack to the chalet and park in the area across from the chalet that is a landing area for the helo but has a large space around the helo pad that people park tow rigs at.

Chappy,
Bring your dog.. He'll love it!
Around camp mine's on the leash, but on the trail, I let him walk/run next to me... BUT he listens well, and doesn't wander off..He's always within 50 ft or so of me.. and doesn't get in the way of the other rigs...
So I guess it depends on the dog..
(flame suit on, for non leash)

Yeah Romer-
If you don't have a portable shower don't worry about those on the trail. Once you get into the springs you will see plenty of Shower Tents pop up. All you got to do is ask to use one everyone is really cool about that.

To confirm a couple of topics here:
Dogs are allowed (mainly because some owners would not attend if they could not bring their dog) but need to be leashed at all times. Especially in the Springs. While I am a dog owner and love my Golden Retriever, I do not bring her to this event and personally do not recommend it.
Parking at the chalet (directly below the dam, right at the trail head) is available. You can also park your rig at Ice House resort for $5 per night. I recommend this. I have never heard of anyone having issues with their tow rig while parked at Ice House.
There is no longer a 'breakfast' included in the overnight runs. I encourage folks to utilize Ice House resort for lodging and breakfast prior to hitting the trail, but all Rubithon runs now begin at Loon Lake trail head or Wentworth Springs (as indicated on the registration form). hmmm... drive time in a laiden cruiser from Ice House to Loon... what? 30 minutes?? It is still 30- miles from Ice house to Loon.
fun fact: majority of registrations received so far are FJ Cruisers! OK, I have yet to open the mail... but great to see the enthusiasm for the new FJ Cruiser group leaving at noon. (Bech, have received your reg).
We'll be contacting these drivers to ensure they meet or exceed our minimum truck requirements, determine their level of driving experience and remind them this is one of California's greatest OHV trails for a reason. It can be extremely difficult and certainly is unrelenting.
Fly Ins: We have some out of state attendees and TLCA dignitaries flying in. If anyone else has or is expected someone at the airport, speak up and perhaps we can coordinate some ride sharing. I will also be asking everyone to support these folks leaving in the 1st stage of the exit strategy to help ensure they make their scheduled flights home.
Extra seats: As chairman, I am always asked about extra seats. Rubithon registrations are driver/truck based. I do not monitor available seats nor do I want to act as matchmaker in pairing up folks. If you are looking for a seat, or have a seat available, share that information here or other threads. I have found it is best if folks figure out for themselves if they can be compatible with some stranger for 4 days of hard wheeling on the rubicon trail.
Where can you find the registration form: right here in this thread.
Committee folks, I'll be mailing you a comm reg form in the next few weeks.
and to note, I work out of town Mon - Thurs so be patient if contacting me about 'stuff'. I'll try to respond asap. Sorry to ramble and Thanks!
