Cool Cruise Moab 2007

Cruise Moab 2007 is now available for registration!
http://www.risingsun4x4club.org/cmregister07.asp

Wednesday May 2 though Sunday May 6 2007.

Schedule of events:

Tuesday May 1
Registration and Safety inspection for the overnight run, which will be Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight run is an additional $20 for the extra permits we have to pull. Limited to 20 rigs, hosted by Wasatch Cruisers and Rising Sun.

Wednesday May 2
Registration and safety inspection, vendor night with vendor booths, prizes and special events.

Thursday May3
Guided trail runs. Possible BBQ with the Toyota Trail Teams. Videos of the day's wheeling in the Cruise Moab canopy.

Friday May 4
Guided trail runs. Banquet, awards and raffle at the Bar M Friday night.

Saturday May 5
Guided Trail runs.

Sunday May 6.
Clean up and drive home.

We are looking forward to our best year ever with our 10th anniversary! Highlights:

(1) Our headquarters is back at Slickrock Campground. Issues we had in previous years have been resolved, and we have reserved several rows specifically for our event. Please tell them that you are with Cruise Moab, and you will get your choice of cabin, tent or RV camping in contiguous blocks so we will all be together.

(2) Registration cost has not increased this year, same $95 as the last 2 years. Registration gets you in to the event, 3 days of guided trail runs, dinner, t-shirt, sticker, registration schwag, and much more.

(3) We will have at least 3 FJ Cruiser Trail Teams, plus one 4runner from their team.

(4) We will have a HAM radio base station at base camp to augment the satellite phones that our leaders carry.

(5) Rising Sun will have an inventory of spare parts in our trailer at base camp to help out with inevitable breakage on the trail.

(6) Our BLM permit has been extended for another 5 years, now with a higher upper limit, we will now be able to accept up to 200 total participants! (Previous was 150)

(7) We will have an overnight run similar to what we did year before last with Hole In the Rock Trail. Right now it looks like it will be the Comb Wash, but we are still working on trying to get permission to camp on Ute Indian Reservation lands.

Register NOW to make sure you get the trails you want on the days you want! If you wish to camp with us in the main group at Slickrock Campground, make your reservation NOW to make sure you can camp together with us!

If you have questions, post 'em here or on the Rising Sun Cruise Moab forum.

Matt,

Is it possible to participate in the event without bringing a rig to Moab? Riding shotgun, helping out on the trail, etc.? I don't know that my FJ40 will be ready to take down, but I would love to be there anyway, just to soak it all in.

Dave

Dave,

Sure! In fact, you don't need to register if you're not bringing a vehicle on the trail runs. If you would like to reserve a dinner and t-shirt (or more than one of each), we can send you a request for payment from PayPal for these items only.

If you'd like to volunteer in some capacity, like helping out with registration or tech inspection, that would be great too!

Feel free to make a reservation at Slickrock Campground as well, in the Cruise Moab section.

There will be plenty of open seats, and you'll have no lack of invitations to ride. You can certainly have a great time w/o bringing your own rig.

Matt

Matt...

Can I still reserve a dinner and shirt? If so, would you send me the paypal address for payment?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

The shirt is a definite yes. Send $15 per shirt to: sales@risingsun4x4club.org (via PayPal). Make certain that you tell us what size you need.

The dinner is more problematic. We may be at the physical limit for the Bar M. If you want to go ahead and attempt to reserve a dinner, send $16 for each dinner to the same e-mail address via PayPal. But we may be forced to refund your money, if we're out of space. Please specify Beef, Chicken, or Vegetarian for each dinner you reserve.

Matt

Dave, we'll figure out a way to get you into the dinner. I just reread all of the posts above. My bad.

Thanks. I will pay for the shirt and hold off on the dinner, since I may have some friends/family with me.

Help

I am new to the forum and would love to make it to this event. I see that it is full. Is there any way to still bring me and my cruiser for the trail runs? I would love to be part of the event but dont have to eat or camp in areas that are full already.
I just want to participate.
Thanks,
Mjager

By now, it's full for sure. Watch here for a live from Cruise Moab thread. Also, you can go to risingsun4x4.com for more info.
