I'm not sure how to best say this, so I'll just plow ahead. Realize this isn't a criticism of the messenger, and I fully support and actively participate in projects to maintain healthy and open land for recreational use by the public.

My beef with this sort of message is the use of caps. It comes off as unprofessional and gimmicky. I wish things like this could be written with more care and less flash. Let the words stand on their own.

When I see spam in my inbox, it typically comes in the style of the message written above, and my internal editor immediately turns to suspicion. Contrast the above message with the ad recently bought for the Moab Times.

Flame away, but effective communication is just that.

Wow, what a waste of your time. Write a letter to your Congressperson instead of worrying about CAPITAL LETTERS.

Great, now I've wasted my time also

Lurking long enough - time to speak up....

So - I write my congressman every time that I see something pertaining to the off-road community - both when it is bad and when it is time to comment on something good.

However - I do have to agree with eshelbyk - When you use all caps on the internet - you are yelling and being unprofessional.

So there - I feel better now

Thanks for making your first post count

Maybe they meant to YELL?

A percentage of our population only responds to YELLING and OBSCENITIES.

Needless to say, I'm sure some marketing weenie could have done a better job. Maybe one will volunteer?

Guys,

I just did a cut and paste from the email with no editing. Frankly, I don't think it's that bad. Now if it was all caps, it would be different. I can go through and change the caps if it will help.

Sheesh.

Chris
