Well it seems history's repeating itself...David has not responded to emails or voice mails in >40 days. He's had my 40 for nearly 14 months and the lack of communication frustrates the sheet out of me. At worst the work should have taken 3 months. (SOA, Pwr steering, trac-bar, regear, metal-tech and a couple of other things)

He convinced me that all was well back in feb/march, but updates have been few and far between.

David, sorry to make this public, but you've had more chances than you deserve.

How about a phone call, email, or smoke signals

Update

Well...finally got fed up enough last thursday with David's inability to communicate so took the afternoon off from work and drove down to Atlanta to find out WTF was going on. Got to the shop around 3 and it was locked up with no one around. Sat and waited in the car for a couple of hrs and Dave and Mike showed up around 5:15...guess they were at lunch

It seems that in the two months since I last visited they had made some progress, mind you not two months worth but some. The cage had been painted, though its mounted with reg old hardware and not Grade 8 stuff, so that needs to be changed. The Frame ties had been completed (they were ~80% done by myself and Cam, one of Davids helpers when I was down there in early june. Driveshafts were made in june, but were measured wrong so those had to remade and have now been installed. Some little things like reinstalling all the firewall stuff was in process, but not completed. The steering shaft still hadn't been ordered, and the ram assist lines weren't back from WTOR. PS pum not yet mounted. Shocks have been measured for, but not ordered. Dual Batteries and OBA still to be started.

They're promising completion by mid September, but since this year alone I've had written (email) promises of feb, GSMTR, June 12th, and now mid sep...I'm not holding my breath. Mike tells me that if its not done by the Southern Cruiser Crawl (Oct) I can personally kick his ass...I rather have my truck, but an oz of flesh...hmm

Sorry...but just needed to vent....

Todd

Thanks for the update. That was very fact-based, so it didn't seem like venting....to me.

We're still rooting for David to pull this all back together, slow and steady. Sounds like you are too.

Best

Mark A.
