TLCA and Xtreme 4x4 team up for Formula build

TLCA in CA has teamed up with Xtreme 4x4 to help Ian and Jesse with their next build up, a Formula Toy, by providing them a donor 1982 Toyota longbed mini truck!

Ian and Jesse will note thanks to TLCA for finding and providing the donor truck used in the build up episode.

This is just another great opportunity for Toyota owners to learn about, and ideally join, TLCA!

The fun starts this Saturday when we deliver the truck to their Sacramento studio.

FYI and be on the look out

Hi Ian...

sorry for late reply!

about TLCA... the Toyota Land Cruiser Association.

Founded in 1976, we are approaching our 30 year anniversary in 2006.

currently has around 3500 members internationally, with most members in US, Canada and Australia respectively.

Open to any owner of a Toyota Manufactured 4 wheel drive vehicle with low range (this includes Lexus who is manufactured by Toyota). Land Cruisers, Mini Trucks, and 4Runners are primarily what make up our membership.

TLCA has various clubs known as Chapters. Chapter clubs are located throughout the US and Canada and comprise nearly 1/4 or our membership. Chapter clubs help bring TLCA home to the members in the form of local runs and events.

We publish Toyota Trails, the only color publication dedicated solely to the Toyota, which prints every 2 months. This publication has won awards in prior years and we are very proud of Trails, which content is provided solely by member contributions of event reviews, technical and how to articles, products review and much much more.

Membership is $25 a year which includes 6 issues of Toyota Trails, two club stickers for your truck and access to TLCA Sponsored events such as Rubithon, Cruise Moab, Great Smokey Mtn Trail Ride, Black Hills Cruiser Classic, Glitter Gulch Gambol and many more.

Folks can join TLCA by visiting our web site www.tlca.org Folks can even request a free Membership information pack which contains a free copy of Toyota Trails. We also have merchandise they can purchase on our secure web site.

**

That is it in a nutshell. Let me know if you would like specific information on anything else.

Very appreciative!

Tony

I think saw this episode but I missed the first few minutes. In the part I saw they never mentioned the TLCA. They had a group of students from the local Wyo Tech or a similar school put it together then they took it out to the Prairie City SVRMA and took it through a little course. It was enough to get me interested in the formula toys.

Oh, and Jesse is smoking hot!

Heya Tony,

Trails isn't "the only color publication dedicated solely to the Toyota" of course. I can think of at least two others!

Yes, It's in French and don't know French that well, I can order food and some basic other stuff. I mainly look at the photos Actually i've probably picked up more than i'm admitting to.

I really like the layout and sections. For the most part there is a section on 40 series, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 and evasion (trips). Anything from front end and engine rebuilds to expedition builds
