FJ60 TLCA sticker

Since we all love our particular model of landcruiser- could there be a possibility of having some 60 series tlca stickers made up? I think that the cost could be absorbed by those interested in purchasing?

Not a new idea. Hope you have better luck with it then I did!

That said, if you can do the artwork I can have the decals produced..... with TLCA's permission of course. That goes for 45's, 55's, 80's, Mini's & FJC's too

Seems kinda stereo typed when all you ever see are 40's! Not saying 40's aren't great rigs but maybe the rest of us would like to be represented.

The artwork should already be done. last year I won a FJ60 t-shirt at the Tall Corn Cruiser Classic. I don't remember who sponsered that particular gift. I do know that it has to be rare as most people have never seen one like it.... It is drawn in the same style as the FJ40 versions.

Blue 60

P.S. It matches my blue 84' 60.

It came from TLCA'S online store..... don't know if it from TLCA or it someone bought them and donated them.

I think the artwork was done by generic80 and I don't believe he has the file any longer. I had tried to get them to do 60's, 80's, Mini's, Runners and FJC's but the general consinsus was that the 40 was the official logo and not to mess with it.

I think there may be enough discussion about TLCA become a more inclusive organization that it may time to revisit this discussion.........

I still have an excellent source for decals too.

First and foremost, I'm not saying we should change our logo.

However, TTORA changed their name and logo either 1 or 2 years ago to be more inclusive.

I like the idea of producing model specific logos, with the permission of TLCA of course. These could be used on stickers, shirts, beanies, etc. and become a nice lil revenue producer for the TLCA.

I know there are a lot of folks that produce Toyota shirts and the like that would more than likely be willing to assist us with this. One that comes to mind, as I own a couple of his shirts (because they ROCK) is a gentlemen from NorthCoastin northcoastin

I can now have the ablility to print full color decals, so if we can get someone to do the art work and the TLCA sign off it could happen.. The problemb, is that a full color vector graphic like that is not easy to design, and even harder to make look like it belongs with the old logo..

We have similar issues with Colorado Land Cruisers with our logo, some don't like it, and it copyrighted, one of our members has the rights to the copyright. but a logo is a big part of any organizations image. it may get too confusing if we have a logo for each type of toyota 4x4..

Actually Rainey Kirk did the artwork on the series shirts. There was a 55 with incorrect factory colors (almost all red with a white stripe), a blue 60 series stock, and a UZJ100 mislabeled as an FJ80. Tony Twiddy had them printed up prior to the ANC store taking over TLCA merchandise. I never had those files, but Tony or Rainey probably do. The files I have are of the original 1976 logo. I found it, scanned, and Matt Farr cleaned it up for me. For the 30th anniversary I had t-shirts made with the old logo (red/white/blue) on the front and Land Cruiser in every script to current on the back saying "Don't Leave Pavement without one". I made 100 of them. I sold a few. I donated some funds to TLCA for the ones I sold and donated the last of them to events for the raffles. In the end, I lost $120 and ended up with 2 shirts for me and one for my son. And I'd do it all again in a heartbeat.

So back to the original question, artwork does exist for a few of the models. You'd need to correct the 55 colors in my opinion to make them salable. You'd have to do an 80 series and then the FJs, various Minis, and 4Runners, etc... Pretty soon you'd be making LX450, LX470, GX470, 200s etc... I've lost count but I think there was something like 20 different models. 25, 35, 40, 45 (and then both pickups and wagons) 55, 60, 62, 80, 100, 200, 7Xs (all sorts of varieties from pickups to Troopies and different years), FJ Cruisers, 4Runners (I think there are 5 generations now), Hi Luxes, Minis, Tacos (3 generations on that now), T100s, Tundras, etc.... There is no way to be all inclusive. It just isn't feasible. I think sticking with the current logo only makes sense for identity purposes of the organization. And it was Toyotas first 4wd model (slightly revised from the original BJ). I'd still like to see TLCA bring back the original logo in a sticker.

It makes sense to me that we use what is available (if we can get the logo for the 60) and leave it at that. I have a 40 version on my wifes tacoma and my 60, I would not want to see any of the newer models as like you say you are opening pandora's box and that would be cost prohibitive.
