I'd gambol that if TLCA organizes something, it would run along with Rubithon, their "official" event...tho, unfortunately, that's not terribly centrally located.

We could just have our own at the Badlands?
I know, I would hope they wouldn't stick it all the way in CA. But we'll see how about CO.....

I haven't taking my 40 to the BL yet only my now sold taco....But I am trying to make it over there sometime soon, but with a 3 week old baby the wife has me on a short leash. I would also like to at least get a locker installed before i head there.

Here's an idea:
Howsabout something similar to "Pigs Across America"?
Have all the Chapters organise their own events on the same timeframe.
Then choose which event is most convenient or desirable to you.

Or make all the TLCA sanctioned events that year Official 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
50th Anniversary of the Land Cruiser Celebration at Cruise Moab!
50th Anniversary of the Land Cruiser Celebration at Rubithon!
50th Anniversary of the Land Cruiser Celebration at GSMTR!
You get the idea, I'm sure.

I think Johathon is headed in the right direction... I'd push for all events to add that as a theme to their event.

Having a single type event is impractical if you are hoping to have everyone participate, the logistics is just too much.

just my opinion.

The only thing with seperating them is that chances are Toyota would probably be a big sponsor(I would think, they do it for Tacoma Takeovers) and they will only do one event. They have sponsored the Tacoma Takeovers at the Rubicon and at Moab.

would this be for the 50th of introduction in the states? I thought Toyota first started the legend in 1951

So next year is the 50th then huh. Hope someone already started a plan, otherwise it'll be crazy to get something set up now. How about CM07 as the 50th celebration. I'm hoping to go next year and that would just make it even more special.

Works for me. All the BOD should attend CM07. It's going to be the 10th Cruise Moab and we're already working on some ideas to make it the best ever.

Was it complete with the busted out center shift console and retro-fitted stick shift?
