Help with reorganizing...
Hello,
I'm at a standstill and could use some advice or help from the powers that be at TLCA. The Mid-Ohio Landcruisers are reorganizing this year under the BuckeyeBirfield Syndicate. We are stoked to finally have the opportunity to get in good standings and represent in Ohio. I have taken the task to redo our bylaws and sent them over to Roger about 10 days ago now. No response. I can't raise him on his published phone number (numerous trys) and no reply to email either. The understanding is that our bylaws need to be approved at the next BOD meeting and we really would like to see this happen this year as a club and get moving with our new web site etc. If Roger isn't responding...what do I do now? Help! Mark __________________ TLCA Web Master |

Just ensure that your by laws have these two main components...
under membership requirements... All Members must be active TLCA members and somewhere, such as Club goals Support TLCA With those two items, and no illegal stuff, they are most likely a go. You may also contact Nick Stone or Erik Christianson. Roger is most likely simply unavailable due to personal life type requirements. He is always prompt and always follows through. Thank you guys, just following the directions and the chain of command.
I will contact both of those folks and submit the bylaws to them directly. Was just looking for an alternative and wanted to follow protocal.

Tony was right on point. TLCA only wants your bylaws to confirm your support of TLCA. Keep it simple and don't sweat any legal stuff.
You can send them to me at diesel42@sbcglobal.net I will add you to the agenda for the August meeting and make certain that Roger sees your bylaws. Sorry you had a delay. Roger has been on the road and hard to reach this summer. Happy Trails! Coming over via email after this post. Thank you sir. Summer is a busy time no doubt and after I dropped the ball on this earlier in the year, perserverance is going to be key on my part to make sure the process is a success. The bylaws we have are the model on the TLCA site with a few tweeks in language to fit our club. But they are simple and to the point and found that resource on the TLCA site an invaluable one. Thanks again guys. Our club members are stoked to have the opportunity to be legit again.

For y'all following this thread.
The bylaws look good and I've sent them on to Roger for his review. I know every club changes with time. It's great to have you guys back on board. Happy Trails! N __________________ Nick Stone 81 BJ42 "BJ" 82 FJ60 "Sparrow" Lone Star Land Cruisers TLCA #8070 TLCA Administrative VP 02-08 |

and to go on a tangent...
I think it is great you folks are 'reorganizing'. On many occasions, the dynamics of a club change. All too often, the club itself does not change and soon fades away. By reorganzing, you breath new life, new approach and a chance for continued success. It is healthy on occasion. Kudos to everyone involved, and thanks for keeping TLCA in focus. __________________ Tony Twiddy #5049 |

Thanks for the encouragement. There is new blood in the club and alot of the long time members also involved in this reorganzing. Felt it was important to broaden out beyond Mid-Ohio and to include more than just FJs since Ohio is lacking a quality Toyota Club in general.
We are excited. No doubt.

Mark's been taking the lead, hosting events, getting people organized and doing just about everything others should be helping to do!!
Good job Mark. OH is an interesting place--geographically we are spread all over the place. But Columbus has been where we've been meeting, etc. It's centralized and has a bunch of people there (Mark, Vince, Jason, Jim C., Karl, etc.). NorthEast Ohio has also developed quite a number of cruiserheads....Tim and myself make it a point to try to go to every gathering that we can make it to considering both of our hectic work and personal schedules/conflicts/$$ issues etc. I think the OH group will continue to be loosely organized, but die-hard nonetheless. Looking forward to being "recognized" Best regards. -onur Akron, OH __________________ 1997 FZJ80 with and without lots of stuff. 2001 Honda Accord 3.0L V6 VTEC Coupe EX. __________________________________________ Originally Posted by cruiserdan in response to Hilux: "Unlike you, Mel Gibson is a bad dude.
