Wow! Nice pics & sounds like a fantastic adventure.
I'd say you need to calm your new drug addiction Jerome, but I'd be lying. I think I've done all those at one point or another .

One toke over the line sweet Jesus one toke over the line....

I think the written adventure is better than the pics.
Sounds awesome!

I have some down time here, sitting Ouray, Co while Jenn and Bryan run in a half marathon going on right now in Ouray...

Here are some pics from my cell phone. I will go through the camera later and post up an album.

It been an amazing trip! I wish more of you guys could have made this one!! The weather has been perfect and the wheeling has been great.

Since my first pictures start well into the trip....

Black Bear Pass

Heading down into Telluride

Then we headed to Moab! I am seriously falling in love with this place!!!!

The first day we decided to hit Poison Spider starting around 11:30am. Bryan and Jenn wanted to mountain bike the trail so Jackie drove the 80 and wheeled like a boss. I don't think she bypassed any obstacles! Once we got to the end we were so excited we decided to just keep going on to Golden Spike, which meant that we would also have to do Gold Bar Rim to get back to the trails that take us to the highway.... This was a mistake! hahahaha! We were making great time! We were almost to the end of Golden Spike when we started to get a little tired (probably 7pm by now) plus a mean thunderstorm was headed out way. So we decided to finish out the last quarter of Golden Spike and boogie through Gold Bar Rim.

Just then Bryan (Jackie) broke a birf.... then it started raining.... then it got DARK! we could no longer see where the trail was and on slick rock, without the trail markers, its almost impossible to find the trail. Especially it is pitch black out and the ground is soaked... so you cant even see the tire marks. But we kept moving and between negotiating unknown obstacles, the rain, winching the broke 80, getting lost, being tired, and not being able to see, we somehow made it out. We drove strait to Burger King with plans to close the place! But they were already closed as it was 11:30pm. We did manage to complete all three trails in about 11 hours, which ain't to shabby... I don't think...

The kids playing on their bikes

The next day we didn't do dick! I think if I had suggested a trail everyone would have killed me! So instead the girls hung out by the pool and Bryan and I assessed the damage to the 80.

Next day we headed to Cliff Hanger Jenn and Bryan mountain biked. Fun trail! lots of fun obstacles. We got Bryan's 80 through much of the trail with no drive on one wheel but it soon became obvious that it needed to be ditched, and picked up on the way back.

Then, just cause.... We bbq'ed in the parking lot and fixed mt bikes.

Next day I still wanted to wheel but since we were down to one vehicle and the kids still wanted to bike... I decided to hit Hell's Revenge. Jenn wasn't feeling up to the roller coaster drops on her mt. bike so she kept me company. Bryan went on and biked the slick rock trail... which is a pretty serious trail!

Hells Revenge is pretty awesome! I did decide to not attempt Hells Gate, Escalator, or any of the tubs on my own, with no spotter, for the first time. But wow were they tempting. Hard to walk away from those!!! Next time!

The next day we all mountain biked (Jackie hiked) the Intrepid Trails in Deadhorse

I must come back to Moab! I still have Pritchett Canyon, Moab Rim, Rusty Nail, and Area BFE to hit!!!

It has been an amazing trip!!! I do not want to go home! But at least I get to see all my homies at hoedown!

Let's do moab for pys next year.

Awesome trip report! It will be 10yrs this month since I was there last, fxxx I need to go back!

Joe, I was thinking, I can't believe you haven't been there!!!

Whatever we need to do make it happen I'm in!!! Pys is pretty established and beloved...

I was thinking about adding it to the discussion for a July/August thing... Currently, the momentum is black hills...

Omg does that sound awesome.
Are you doing a combination of camping and hotels?

Wow! I want you so bad right now!

Thanks for the story & pics ...wheeling porn & sex story at its best!

So happy for yous guys to get to experience it. Hope to be able to join you some time.

Camping in co, hotel in Moab. Tent camping in Moab is pretty rough! If we can get a group.... There are lots of houses for rent.

I can't believe it either. There are a lot of places I would like to get to and wheel soon, timing was just bad for me this year all around.

I could do black Hills again, but would prefer moab. Renting a house would be fun.

Fact.

Awesome pics. It was a freaking blast. CO is great time. Jeremy and Jen kept me laughing the whole time and Moab was nothing but awesome hot slick rock. Getting back to il brings the suck but it just gives me more things to look forward to.

True.

After Harlan in a few weeks... I have a few slots to fill! Week before x-mas, Jenns spring break (4-1 to 4-10), and July 22 to Aug 10ish...

Potential slot fillers include Moab, Black Hills, Down south parks (Hot Springs! etc.), Michigan parks (Rocks and Valleys? Drummond Island? Casa de Gum?), Cali (Rubicon, Johnson Valley?).... Otherwise we'll be at the Dresden Room....

As usual my goal is my homies making these trips!

We will need to discuss this around the camp fire this weekend, however I want to hit up the black hills or make my triumphant return to Moab next summer as i will hopefully have a big boy truck by then. The problem with moab is i probibly would only be able to do a week (Friday night to Sunday that includes driving) and i don't want to suck up 4 of those days with driving out there and back. So i may have to get creative getting the tacoma out there, who has open trailer space LOL, and i would have to use my flying benefits to get to the moab airport. The Michigan parks would be cool for a spring or fall trip. If i did Harlan next year i would like to do a fall trip as the place looks pretty cool that time of the year.

Cali would be cool, however i would 100% have to ship the tacoma out there and meet it , or wait until i can get another week of vacation in 2yrs.

Cali is a far fetched dream.... I just want to hit those spots before the commies close them.

True, Moab is a two hard day drive at 1300 -1400 miles. SD can be one hard day or two easy days at 1000 miles.... Hot springs is one day at 650 miles...

You coming to Harlan this fall??
