One of my all time favorite bikes, that thing would pretty much eat anything on the road the year it came out.

How are you on the montessa?

I like your bikes and your location. I don't know where along the border you are, but what I've seen is beautiful. I hiked the TMB a couple of months ago and we're thinking of doing the Haute Route to Zermatt next year.

Hi jasonH , sorry for the delay ... I live near simplon pass betwen swiss and lago maggiore (big lake not like yours but big here in europe)

Zermatt is few kilometers away " point to point " but by car we have to cross the simplon pass and drive many km by road

my village now is pieve vergonte under monte rosa.

I must do some photo of other bike i have that surely all you will like...

as soon as possible because some bike are at my parents hause

How are you on the montessa?

hi Mace , what means your question ? (sorry for my poor english...I'll improve it , hope)

The montesa is a cota 315r , is a good bike , a great engine (2t) mine is increased to 300cc whit POLINI CYLINDER - PISTON KIT and lovely chassis/suspension for a bike of that period

BUT TO BE HONEST I prefer drive the other old ladies you see in the photo :

back the montesa there is a 1985 fantic motor 300 professional ( strong chassis , big engine , no brake , poor suspension)

back the 300 there is a 1983 fantic motor 240 ( light weight chassis , little engine but whippy 212cc 2t )

back the 240 there is a GLORIOUS 1979 swm 320 tl strong chassis and a powerfull engine , 280cc 2t rotax , A wonderfull ENGINE even too much power to do trial !! the oldest one's with the oldest tech...

all italian motorbike when italian people knew build up a motorbike !!

cheers
