What's best to seal off opening where wires enter winch body? (1 Viewer)

Warn XD9000i. I am referring to the spot where the A/F1/F2 wires enter the winch to connect to the solenoid. The winch originally had a little gasket there, but it's torn up. And, I don't really want to try to fit that thing back in there. I'd rather spray something in the gaps.

I have clear outdoor silicone, but I was curious if y'all have any better ideas. I was thinking of doing the silicone then painting with liquid electric tape for it to look better.
 
Sikaflex 221 in black is a nice product. Not too easy to find and somewhat expensive.

If you use a silicone based product (especially near bare wires/connections etc), try to find one that doesn't use an acetic acid based curing agent since it is corrosive. There are 'electronics grade' silicone products without the acetic acid.
