Finished thoroughly cleaning the rear bench seat assembly. This included many wash-soak cycles for the cover and foam cushion in the tub. The water that came out was NASTY! Air dried the covers and cushions for a few weeks. Removed the rust from the rear frame with an electrolysis bath and painted all parts. Made all new stainless steel cover rods so they never rust again. They look and smell great now. Still need to repaint the rear boarder frames for the backs .

Very nicely done, wish I had thought of electrolysis bath about 72 hours ago or more accurately wish I had paid attention in chemistry class.

So now I've got to rack my brain to try and figure out where the photo was taken from :). EDIT: Just caught up on the other posts - Nevermind.

FR 76F to be exact. I pinpointed it on the map. Cool place to get lost.

Thanks! The electrolysis bath was kind of a crazy endeavor but fun all the same! Helpful to get at rust in the small spaces the wire wheel can't reach. I want to make a more permanent setup in a 5 gallon bucket for smaller parts.

Took off early Saturday and drove to South Bend for the ND v. MSU game. Parked on the South end of the stadium and set up the tailgate.

After a 7.5 hour tailgate, had to get right with the lord the next morning at the Sacred Heart Basilica on ND campus. Gorgeous church.

Hoss ran great the whole way down and back. 3000 RPMs put the speedo at about 65-67mph. Can’t tell how fast I’m actually going w/ the 31s. I ordered a new foam insert from SOR for the drivers seat as the original one I’ve been driving on is pretty shot. This was back to back weekends with a 8 hours round trip run to Notre Dame for me and I’m hoping for a more comfortable ride on road trips to the next few games.

*snip*

With my truck 31s with about 2.5" lift and no other weight than stock I am running right around 70mph at 2750 and about 75mph at 3k. That is at about 4500' elevation and on flat ground. BeBe has about 157k on her.

I posted this in the trailer section as well, but this weekend, I also found and purchased a 1946 Jeep Bantam T3C trailer. Looking to do a camping remodel. PO replaced the bed w/ an older Datsun truck bed. New tires 6.00x16? Military knock-offs. New lights [left and right vs. one] and it has the original data plate. Wife thinks it’s adorable......

Test fitted some 70 series window cleaner weatherstrip.

Fit like a glove after we had to shorten it by a couple of inches, although we couldn't use the clips. We had to use glue. Its good to know we now have a source for those that want to run the doors without the OEM door panels (which has the original 60/62 as a window cleaner/weatherstrip attached to it)

What part number?

Replaced my steering stabilizer...

It replaced an OME unit .
For those interested the OME unit is the same for the 60 & 80 series, so this unit although a bit longer should fit the 60 series....
Just another choice out there...

Got it from wits'end
