Youll be suprised by how sturdy it is Medtro. It will hold considerable weight.

A great light weight storage solution that can be easily removed if needed.

Installed MAD storage platform by jjgarci1. Original idea from http://www.copperstatecruisers.com/rear-storage-area.html.

The platform is mounted to the stock 3rd row seats mounting holes. Grid walls are then bolted to the platform. Total of 12 bolts. Installation took about 5 minutes.

Thanks jjgarci1 and murf.

Running board delete and a 30mm spring spacer and torsion-bar-crank lift on the new-to-me '04. I freaking LOVE working on rust-free trucks!!! (Daughter #2 helped on this one)

Looking forward to more progress pictures

Replaced broken motor mount

I discovered the root cause of all the noise I made coming down Three Feathers last month.

I knew the noise was my power steering pump pulley making a larger opening in my radiator fan shroud, and thought the radiator had movement at the base allowing the radiator to shift back towards the pulley.

Nope - the engine was moving towards the radiator because of a busted driver's side motor mount.

I replaced the broken mount and made sure the other three were intact.

Pics:

Extra clearance on shroud

Odd looking motor mount

Broken mount - it looks like rats chewed trough it

Flagstaff-Kayenta-Moab-Green River on less than a full tank of gas! 18+ MPG, loaded, slight lift. :grinpimp: Haven't done that in a cruiser - ever...

New goodies! The rear upper control arm bushings were torn and figured a good time to move to the adjustables :)

The trimmed front bumper facelift looks like one of the "best bang for the buck" out there. What kind of lift are you getting?

He totally copied me.. :flipoff2:

Tie Rod Ends

Installed new OEM Relay and Tie Rod ends. Made a great difference in the steering slop and wandering on the road. Originals had 173k on them and were shot.
Pics would have been boring. T

Got the hood repainted to fix some peeling clear coat. Also got Phil's old bumper painted to match so I can replace my cracked one...

new brake pads on the LX :bounce:

in return, it refused to light one of the front marker lights tonight  unthankful bastige

Added a Warn M8000 winch

Added a Warn M8000 winch to my Slee shortbus front bumper. Having bought the bumper 2nd hand, it did not come with the Slee bracket for the solenoid box, so I had to make one from scratch.

Looks great Mike, tell us more about the bracket..

Minor stuff, no pics

Went ahead and installed some parts from the parts LC. Replaced the sunvisors, installed the passenger grab bar, reinstalled the tuffy console (found that there was a spacer that was supposed to be installed - raises the back about 2 more inches) and installed the dog grate behind the front seats.

Feel good about actually starting wrench (albeit minor) again. Next big jobs - pull the H55 and TC from the parts rig, and then pull the springs/shocks from the parts rig and swap those out.

Anybody down in Tucson that can eyeball the H55 once I get it out to let me know if I should replace seals, etc? Won't be for at least a couple of weeks before I can yank it.

Otherwise, will eventually have a crap ton of gray parts out of the parts rig - current have the 2 front seats out, and they're in pretty damn decent shape, just dusty/dirty from sitting. Not parting out yet till I know I've pulled all the bits I need :) but anyone with a 83 to 87 FJ60 in gray may been in luck in the not too distant future.
