rebuilding my 8274 and need to install new brake shaft needle bearing. can anyone confirm that proper installation of Warn 8356 brake shaft needle bearing is to press the bearing from the outside of the lower casing flush with the outside of the lower casing with cap facing outward?
just want to make sure that the bearing should not be pressed from the inside of the lower casing.
just dropped casing off for bead blast, old race removal, and needle bearing installation. guy at the counter asked if i knew whether the bearing should be pressed from the inside or the outside.
