is there a way to disconnect or turn off these light? Are there two bulbs? Or is it just the high beam bulb? Ever time I start the truck they come on. 2000 lx470

Are they the DRL's?

Maybe try using a tech stream doohickey?

Those are DRL's, depending on year you can disable via techsteam. If your truck is older you'll have to alter wiring to disable, many threads here, do a search. If you only need them off for a moment, I think you can click the parking brake up a click or two to turn them off temporarily.

From what I understand the only way to turn them off is to have the parking brake on before you start the truck. The truck will be dark once you start it and will stay that way until you release the p-brake. But if the truck is already running I do not believe pulling the p-brake will turn them off. Maybe wire a switch in that tricks the p-brake into thinking it's set??

I added a switch into the high beam circuit (if I remember correctly) to shut them off manually. You know, for stealth mode.
