My wife and I are looking at an 80 series (94 - 97), but neither of us is crazy about the automatic transmission. Has anyone heard of a company such as Advanced Adapters making any adapters or bell housings for transmissions such as the NVG 4500?

Thanks!

I don't think this is much of and option because of the center diff which is used in the full time 4 wheel drive stuff. I don't know jack about 80's cept i want to steal some 80 axles to put under one of my trucks to make it more kick ass.

I think the toyota h55f will work, 80's outside the US came with it. I din't know if the pedal hangers and such are present in US 80's...Alan

Sorry to disagree, Alan. The 80 series never had an H55f. The 80 got the H150f for the 1HZ and the H151f for the 1FZF (E) and the turbo diesels.

Currently only Specter sells these transmissions (you have to ask, not in catalog) in the US.
