I once came across a FJ40 for sale with a 1JZ conversion and full fiberglass body. It was an incomplete project but the motor and drivetrain were in there, was super tempted to buy it....can't remember what gearbox was used but I've got a feeling he might've used a CRS conversion kit. Never saw it in person, just photos.

Had a buddy that had a 1st Gen 4runner rock crawler with a 1jz single turbo engine. 2jz is basically the same engine. Definitely doable. Just depends on what drive train you would want to go with on how much it'd cost.

I got a "free" Civic with my new house. Thought it was a n600 and was stoked:smokin: Then finally saw the "Civic" on the back as was lightly stoked.:hillbilly: Then saw the CCVC and was less than enthused(means it was 75 or newer which means VERY high odds of Calif smog:flush: ) Pulled vin and found it to be a 77:doh: I'm giving serious thoughts to Volkswagon TDI and then hoping it up :)

As cool as an N600 would be, you are probably better off with the CCVC...
