Here is my Saab I picked up.
It's a 85 Euro spec, originally sold in Denmark then shipped over to the US in 86.
2.0 16v turbo with a 5spd.

Time now to buff it out and drive it.
It's been sitting for 20 years. I tossed a new battery in it. Fresh gas cocktail. Fired up after a spun the motor over to insure oil pressure was there.

Going to update the maintenance and then fiddle with the boost settings.
After that I'm just doing to drive it.

This is a blast from the past.

My buddy bought a non-turbo version in 86 after graduating college. It was a cool car but without the turbo is was four wheeled tortoise.

We talked about this car last Friday, and it looks even better than you described. Funny ow ars of that era all have similar interiors and seats. Save those period-correct rear window louvres!
