530s are extremely nice and about the best made thing Coleman ever made. Beautiful brass, stainless legs, nickle plate. Made 1946-47 only but went a few more years in Canada. Famous for the "dragon tongue" on light up. Notice I didn't say they were all that useful, just well made.

They can be improved by adding a reservoir to prime with denatured alcohol

Here is the priming cup:

Little know fact, the Coleman 530 led to the advancement of the afterburner system in jet engines...

California's drought must be over...
It's going to take a few years of weather like this. to build up water tables and reservoirs.

^^^ Damn right on.

But but El Nino it will fix all the drought problems ;)....The sad thing is people believe that.

Wire wheel on a bench grinder where I could, hot soapy water and wire brushes where I couldn't.
Paint is VHT header paint.
Good paint!-My headers are still clear after a year with this paint. Used it on my 425 and 415 resto

Coleman 5403 for sale locally.

I've got one of those. Only problem is that is probably the last can of fuel you will be able to get for it..

Dunno, but that's cool!

Picked up my eBay 426B a couple of days ago. It turned out to be in better shape than I had expected.

Good size comparison with the 411A I'm redoing - yep, it's big!

The pump leather is in great shape and came nicely oiled up. I'll probably just replace the fuel cap gasket, pull, clean, and paint the burner assembly, wax the case, and hopefully use and enjoy!
Very nice looking stove--way better than the one I just got on e-bay--but for $15, it will be fun restoring it!
Now if I can just find a cheap 202 lantern to go with it---
