Steering mods for 2 inch body lift ,FJ40 (1 Viewer)

I am looking for ideas with not to much difficulty to modify my steering

Why a 2 inch body lift!?

Large hammer and no need for lift.

Been a long time since I did mine but I don't recall any major dramas.

Im not sure I understand your issue, your saying the 5 speed jams the bearing at the bottom of the steering column? Or do you mean the universal joint?

There is no need to lift the body to get a 5 speed in. Just a bit of tapping for more clearance.

If you go down that path no need to alter steering that binds.

Or have you already done the lift?

What steering set up do u have currently? If the stock steering it will be very tough I think.
